Trying something new
You have been chosen by the native broodmother to be a new experiment for advancing the swarm's allready lethal potential, you are being spawned with free will, and your choise of pre-birth mutations
The first thing your undeveloped eyes see are green ichor surrounding you and a voice exhoing in your head "Grow, Evolve, Become Zerg"
How will you mutate your undeveloped larva body?

>Make an OC Swarm monster
I like this.
Definitely a quadrapedal form, consisting of 4 legs into a semi-humanoid torso with two armsWill this be a drawing supplemented or test quest, cause that decides my depth of answer.

>test
text.
Also, you can use the green (in brackets)[green] command to make text green, for stuff like the "Grow, Evolve, Become Zerg" line.

Your nerve impulse of the desired form fuels the growth of limbs and extension of your spine, six limbs start taking form, four for locomotion and two for object manipulation
the final product looking like a twisted version of the terran's mythological centaur, yet your carpace is still soft and senses undeveloped, lacking predatory traits its is still unwise to be spawned in your current form, as the size of your egg grows to accomodate your new form, the size of a pony horse
>about the drawing
i can try in paint with the mouse, but it will be low quality
Allso thank you for the text advice

Place a strong mouth , like a lion or alligator , in order to eat and destroy everything
>>177455
The next stage of your growth focuses on your mandibular muscles, your skull shape changes shape to accomodate strong biting muscles
jaws stick out and form sharp, long slightly curved teeth, able to pierce any flesh, break most bone, bend metal
your neck thickens, as the strong muscle expands, so the enlarged jaws are balanced out
What would be your next adaptations to become the ultimate zerg predator?
Lets mutate some glands that produce venoms and a chameleon-like skin to become more stealthy.

mouth cavities form and the production of lethal venom starts up, if the bite is not deadly, the infection will most certianly doom any survivors, genes from the Hydralisk strains gift you an ability to spit venom at a distance, the acidic substance could proove usefull in melting trough non-biologic defenses
pigmentation in the carpace mutates, as a photo-sensitive cells eat the regular brown melanince cells, gifting you with near-invisibility when still and adapted to the appearance of the enviroment
Your quad-legged, bi-armed form, armed with venom, large biting maw and chameleon carpace is impressive enough,
but the carpace is still soft, and your senses still dull, you must evolve further
There's been a complication irl, il try this again tommorow, i need to go now
>Right as it was getting good, too
Shame. See you next time, Overlord. The thread will probably still be up tomorrow.

This will end up like starcraft zerg cerebrate quest.with waifu kerrigan ridge scratchers or something

Nice

My vote as defensive "mutation":
Technical understanding + a salvaged Protoss shield generator along with some tools
>>180954
Agree, some dragon scale or exoskeleton from a hard material is good to
>>180956
Exoskeletons and scales might interfere with our camouflage, while some technical insight might help with infiltration/sabotage missions.
>>180956
With access to advanced salvaged tech, we could have nanite enines lace our bones and epidermis with transparent tungsten carbide heterostructures, leaving our camouflage intact and giving us mechanical and heat resistance.
>>180972
Why not both , all this can be photosensitive and thus does not hinder the camouflage and add technology is always good
How about some intelligence, telepathy maybe? And an ability to reproduce ourself or maybe be able to spit out little drones to help with battle or retcon would be cool

>retcon
