Hiro, please address the issues with /d/. The board has been slowed to a dead stop by the removal of the majority of the poster base upon the creation of /aco/.
When /aco/ was made, the majority of /d/'s content was deleted. Not just western art, but art the mods claimed in their ban messages as being from "western fetishes." Original content producers were banned en masse, leaving the board a husk.
Meanwhile, /aco/ is housing a number of posters who prefer non-fetish art, as well as those who prefer more extreme fetishes. The reason /d/ was created was because these fetishes were unwelcome on /h/ years ago.
Now all fetishes have been essentially banned except those popular enough to sustain generals on /aco/ due to refugees from many boards being forced to share it, while /d/ sits by unused.

The problem is that the vast majority of /d/ threads were sustained by having art that originated in different parts of the world. A fetish image does not become a different kind of fetish image by virtue of the race of its artist.
/aco/ is currently a dumping ground for ALL western art, much like /h/ was once a dumping ground for ALL eastern pornography. This arrangement didn't work then, and it doesn't work now. The only /d/ fetishes able to sustain themselves on a board like /aco/ which has multiple boards worth of traffic are those that consolidate into Generals, which are widely seen as a problem on all board.
Meanwhile, there are only two types of active threads on /d/ now: /soc/ hookup threads and futa. Not only have most users been barred from posting content, but they've been chased away from the board completely by heavy-handed moderation.
The few active threads on /d/ nearly always devolve onto bemoaning the death of the board, and those not interested in fetishes on /aco/ tend to demand that those threads return to /d/.
It is an issue that deals with the operations of both boards. The attempt by the mods to force an east vs west ideal which did not exist on the board before was a mistake.
As someone put it in another thread, the only reason for this change is that a mod got upset his peas were touching his mashed potatoes and threw a tantrum.

The issue with /aco/ is the same as the issue with /h/ years ago: some people like really fetishy content, and other people don't.
The split is arbitrary in this case because its always been about the fetishes, first and foremost. Whether it came from a cracker or a ricer, was irrelevant.
