4th for airstrikes on assad.
>>
Russian warplanes hit Pentagon-backed Syrian fighters with a barrage of airstrikes earlier this week, disregarding several warnings from U.S. commanders in what American military officials called the most provocative act since Moscow’s air campaign in Syria began last year.

The strikes hit a base near the Jordanian border, far from areas where the Russians were previously active, and targeted U.S.-backed forces battling the Islamic State militants.
...
These latest strikes occurred on the other side of the country from the usual Russian operations, around Tanf, a town near where the borders of Jordan, Iraq, and Syria meet.
...
The Russian strike hit a small rebel base for staging forces and equipment in a desolate, unpopulated area near the border. About 180 rebels were there as part of the Pentagon's program to train and equip fighters against Islamic State.

When the first strikes hit, the rebels called a U.S. command center in Qatar, where the Pentagon orchestrates the daily air war against Islamic State.

They still won't do it. The Russian Forces stationed in Syria are strong enough to hold off until reinforcements arrive.

I'm starting to hate the Kurds more and more. They need to be wiped out after ISIS and the FSA become a thing of the past.

Should visiting Hmeimim, June 2016. Notice that the Su-35S is ready for a sortie.

its a mix of:
1)the cease fire allowing allowing rebels to rearm and get more men.

2)shia forces are spread too thin and mostly consisting of poorly trained militias.

3)the absence of air support.
>>
>>77723653
1) I get the re-arming, but where do they get more men from? Didn't the massive influx of foreign fighters end a while ago?

2) Makes sense.

3) Why? I thought the Russians leaving was just a meme.
>>
>>77723450
With or without the mustache?
>>
>>77724093

Turkey let pass many ISIS/Al-Qaeda member from their borders,

And the third, isn't about leaving or not, it just Russia don't want a bullshit move like go to Al-Fuah, better end this doing the Aleppo Offensive and then REKT FSA/Nusra in Idlib, but Iran is just whinning about "MUH SHIIAS MINORITIES"
>>
>>77724093
We had cooperation with SAA but not with the iranians.
>>
>>77724093
1)these people breed like rats, for every single that gets killed there is 3 more ready to replace him, the influx of foreign fighters will never end.

3)this is because russia some what believes in the cease fire and it still believes the west will deliver on their end of the deal but iran wants to finish the rebels in Aleppo.
>>
>>77724509

It's funny, insane RuAF airstrikes hit North Aleppo while nothing happens in South Aleppo in the air.

here we go again, as i had been saying it is indeed happening in turkey. this is probably going to be bigger and more violent than gezi park protests(in which about 5+ million people actively participated)

timeline of some of the events, all this happened in the past couple of days
>a group of islamists attack a bar owned by a korean, beat up multiple people because they were drinking during ramadan
>seculars call for a protest in istanbul, social media calls are much more violent than it was before
>demirtas, leader of the kurdish party, is going to be tried for 2x life-imprisonement +486 years for assisting a terrorist organization. demirtas basically calls kurds to civil war
>erdogan says that gezi park will be demolished
>protests in cihangir happen, police intervenes
>protesters call for more people on gezi, protests are becoming more violent and widespread

> 3) Why? I thought the Russians leaving was just a meme.

The Russians have no interest in seeing this war finished. As such, their air support is limited to keeping the SAA afloat and thus have the war grind on for all eternity.

What's the political spectrum like in Turkey?

As I understand it it's:

- Authoritarian Islamists (Erdogan and friends)
- Secular, westernized lefties in the major cities and areas of Turkey closest to the Aegean
- Secular nationalists predominantly associated with the military and Ataturk
- Kurdish political parties that serve as the legitimate, above-ground arm of the PKK

I've been reading up on Turkey recently but your political system is convoluted and constantly shifting. Not that America's is any different.

A powerful blast was reported from the Idlib Governorate tonight after a car bomb was detonated near Jabhat Al-Nusra’s (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) headquarters in the provincial capital.

The car bombing at their headquarters resulted in the death of Jabhat Al-Nusra’s top Uzbek field commander in the Idlib Governorate.

This Uzbek commander was identified as “Abu Bakr Al-Uzbeki” – a veteran jihadist that has fought alongside the Syrian opposition since Jaysh Al-Fateh’s (Army of Conquest) massive Idlib operation in April 2015.

Abu Bakr Al-Uzbeki is now the sixth jihadist commander to be killed inside the Idlib Governorate in the last four days.

Where are gains assheadist's?

Assadists were too busy cutting throats to little kids in 5 years. Thats why assadist lost 2/3 of Syria and now fully depend of foreign help in order to hold the remaining 1/3.

Assadist loses ground in S. Aleppo which he gained thanks to scores of killed Iraqi, Iranian, Lebanese and Afghan shiite mercenaries.

Its relatively stable, though ISIS is definitely doing more large scale attacks last few weeks. Occasionally Republican Guard counteroffensives are reported though where they manage to regain areas like the Panorama area last week, and some parts of the Thardeh mountains southwest of Deir Ezzor

Its been confirmed more Hezbollah reinforcements are on the way, I think this is the first month that Hezbollah has been helping out in Deir Ezzor in this war.

If Syrian army manages to connect to that enclave before it's too late I guess those defenders will be celebrated as great heroes in Syria. Darayya and East Ghouta are the only pockets where theres progress militarily (aside from the diplomatic progress in some pockets west of Damascus)

If you see the oldier mast, Damascus was almost under siege, so the pocket left in the area are full of FSA/Nusra guys, Darayya i think it have like 2000 or less man and Ghouta 10000 in the last year, i think that those numbers are like 1250 and 7500 or even lower thanks to RuAF, failed offensives and infights.

Remember that SAA have elite troops near Damascus, and it's ok, even East Ghouta still represent a important deal in the area but killing those pockets is important to have more manpower for other fronts.

I think that after Darayya, East Ghouta next, then West Ghouta/Dumeyr and they eleminate any treat to Dasmascus.

I was thinking about the Rojava a few days ago. They're useful idiots for the Americans. There's no way in hell that the Americans will allow them to have a 'democratic confederacy' after the war. They'll replace their leadership with a Barzani-esque leader and turn Eastern Syria into a flyover country for oil pipelines between Iraq and Turkey.

The YPG are a bunch of idiots allied with the PKK (who are essentially terrorists). It's not a question of whether they should be defeated or not, it's a question of who will get rid of their leadership and when it will happen. YPG fanboys on r/syriancivilwar and comment sections don't realize that gender equality and Kobane aren't the only 2 determiners of whether ideology and leadership will survive.

In my opinion, the Kurds should either become allied with the regime, or disavow all relationships with PKK. Otherwise, they are simply waiting for death at the hands of competent intelligence operatives.

I hope that the Russians or Syrians get the story out when DeZ gets liberated. The Kuweires liberation after 3 years of siege was hands down the greatest war story in recent years, but no one remembers it. Hollywood only cares if a story can be made to portray Americans as heroes, even though the American public does like stories about non-American heroes.

>Forces loyal to General Khalifah Haftar have been at war with several factions inside the strategic city of Benghazi for nearly two years; however, very little progress has been made to eliminate the bloodshed from “Operation Dignity.”

>On Saturday, several rival combatants from a group calling themselves “Liwaa Defa’ Benghazi” (Defenders of Benghazi Brigades) arrived to the Benghazi countryside to confront the Libyan National Army (LNA) and Haftar loyalists.

>The upheaval in Benghazi has been attributed to Islamist groups attempting to claim a stake inside the city, despite the Libyan National Army’s large presence in the area.

>The disputes between the separate governments in Tripoli and Benghazi have also plagued country and manifested into a violent conflict in several parts of Libya.

>General Haftar’s air force has given his units a distinct advantage over the Islamist-led government in Tripoli; however, the latter has considerable wealth due to their backing from Qatar and Turkey.

>Now, demonstrate are being reported in several parts of the country, as civilians backing either the Islamist or nationalist governments protest in frustration over Libya’s turmoil.

The YPG is a military organisation with no political strivings.

The PKK started as a political party with communist ideologies which is why it was seen as a terror org by the US. If the PKK did not start as a commy party, they'd be using M16's instead of AK's today. Don't forget that 0 attacks have been taken place by the PKK rebels towards American positions or institutions.

But yes, everybody knows that under the table the PKK and YPG are heavily cooperating with each other BUT so are the Peshmerga's of Iraqy Kurdistan... .

>They're useful idiots for the Americans.

Not only for the Americans, but also for Assad. He knows that an invasion of turkey is possible and since the northern part is mainly Rojava, he will have a nice barrier of Kurds that'll fight their brains out against the turks which the Kurds hate even more than Assad.

If turkey will want to invade Syria, it needs to pass Rojava first.

And Assad will still be able to assimilate Kurds just like before the war if he gives the Kurds a piece of land and some autonomy. Heck, do you think he wants to rebuid even one building in the North if the war is over?

He will let the Kurds handle their shit.

Their invasion of North Cyprus wasn't even 50 years ago.

Don't forget that are a lot of Turkmen tribes and people in Syria that get supported by the turkish gov.

An invasion is surely possible to happen because if Rojava will continue to expand to a modern autonomous region, erdogan will lose his shit because he has 15+ million Kurds living like shit while a handfull managed to get autonomy.

If an invasion (let's say after 'shelling from the YPG' propaganda BS) will shut down the Kurds in Syria, the turkish Kurds will get demotivated.

However, if Rojava will be a succesful plan and region, erdogan will also be fucked because every piece of weaponry will be given to the PKK, as you've already probably seen by the downing of a cobra chopper last month (by a Russian missile)...

The invasion happened already under the disguise of the PKK. Nusaybin and Cizre have been liberated hard. The PKK either killed off or retreated back to the mountains resorting back to IEDs or ambushing civil trucks.

The majority of the turkish Kurds don't support HDP or PKK and even blame them for their miserable situation they are in at the moment. Most of the kurds voted for the AKP and they will vote for the AKP again after the huge political failure of HDP. You forget that kurds are not communists but as islamists as the common goat herder.

Oh, like public assassinations?

Kurds can support AKP all they want. As long as the PKK continues its war and the situation for Kurds worsens, more will switch sides realizing that the AKP will never accept them.
>>

>The majority of the turkish Kurds don't support HDP or PKK and even blame them for their miserable situation they are in at the moment.

Coming from a turkish German most probably.

There were 0 celebrations by the Kurdish population in Cizre and Mardin after they got:
>liberated

I think you forgot that the only turkish people you'll find in these places are:
>soldiers
>police men
>teachers

Nothing got liberated. And if you look at the results of the last elections you'll see that this time, nearly all Kurdish provinces have gotten a majority HDP result. You're just spreading out good old fashioned turkey propaganda.

If the Kurds wouldn't have supported the PKK, the organisation wouldn't be in existence for already 40+ years. Being this consistent means that they don't run on just support by their allies (wealthy Greeks, Armenians,...) but also by the Kurdish population.

Their support by the Kurds even exploded after the 1981 military coup and nationalistic patriotic songs were sung this year during Newroz by millions of Kurds. Youtube is your proof for that

The question is, when you goatfuckers will learn. In your so called "history" you weren't been able to create one single state. You retards are always naive enough to call everyone an "ally" or "brother" who pats your back and calls you "based". You fuckers always rant about how you "deserve" a state and yet you beg for heavy foreign support. Heck, you guys aren't even unified on your language. There are literally 20 different versions of the kurdish language. USA, Russia or the EU support you? So what, they're tourists in that region and they will throw away you fuckers like a used condom after they got what they've wanted. You guys will end up, like always, on turkish lap and sing songs about peace and being "brothers" again.

Besides, do you really think the SAA or Russia will leave you alone on that fertile land?

Probably, during Newroz, open fires are lit and being jumped over by people for luck and other symbolizing things.

You should definitely do some reading, it's quite interesting.

But at the same time don't forget about the turkish government and this Kurdish festivity:

>The Newroz has been illegal to celebrate in turkey untill the year of 2000.

>After it got legal, the turks said 'it is a turkish spring festival' naming it 'Nevruz', the use of 'Newroz' is forbidden.

Didn't even mention the people that get shot death during the celebration of it because don't forget that the only turks you'll find in Kurdish populated provinces in turkey are:
>soldiers
>police forces
>teachers

I hope that you'll do some thinking about why turkey only lets certain people teach schools in these places...
