The UK has a kind of quasi-federal thing going on, Scotland has a parliament with a lot of powers devolved to it from Westminster, the Welsh assembly (Senedd in welsh) is similar but less powerful.
The London assembly is basically a giant local council and mostly deals with transport and such.
All are unicameral.

Legally speaking there can be only one Parliament in the UK so any devolved one has to be named an assembly.
There is no constitution so the legitimacy of the WM government is based on various treaties from a few hundred years back that, among other things, specifically dissolve the Scottish Parliament.
There can also be no English Parliament created without breaking these treaties which would likely leave NI technically independent. I don't need to tell you why that's a bad idea.
tl;dr technicalities
Same treaties also cover religion which is why the Queen is legally just a special common north of the border while she's head of a religion in England (and possible Wales, not sure on that one).
