If anything the people voting against the SNP are those obsessed with the referendum.
For example the areas with the largest SNP support (e.g. Angus) had fairly low indy support, Dundee aside. Hell the SNP won a majority in government but only 45% of people voted for indy. A good proportion of that vote was from Glasgow where the SNP didn't get many votes pre-referendum.
People vote for them because they are sincere and they are fighting two parties with poor leadership that are quite literally branch offices of parties in London (look it up). Scotcon and Scotlab cannot compete when their policies have to be UK wide rather than only focussed on Scotland.
/pol/ might not like it but the SNP, by and large, do a better job of representing the wishes of Scottish voters than any other party. Why vote for anyone else?
Or thing about how the EU treats the UK. This is, roughly, how Westminster treats Scotland. Make the UK federal and all but the most crazy of Scots would be happy.
