Immortality distorts the natural order of things. To live is to die. Extending your lifespan is fine, but to actually desire immortality signifies immaturity and selfishness. There are a finite amount of resources available to living creatures on this planet. This reminds me of Elysium and the super rich having access to wonder-drugs/medical machines that extend their lifespan while the average Joe lives in squalor and famine.

Please not in my lifetime...

I'm OK with being immortal even when someone like you might think that I'm immature or selfish.

Most technologies cost a lot at first, and then became widely available as competition and development further increased.

>In March 2016, the same tests were taken again by SpectraCell revealed that her telomeres had lengthened by approximately 20 years, from 6.71kb to 7.33kb. This implies that Parrish’s white blood cells (leukocytes) have become biologically younger. These findings were independently verified by the Brussels-based non-profit HEALES (HEalthy Life Extension Company), and the Biogerontology Research Foundation, a UK-based charity committed to combating age-related diseases.

I don't think this will work.

>>
>>71725122
Would this work best if starting young or with a DNA sample from one's youth? My understanding, which is very shallow, is that once a telomere is shortened, there is data loss. If there is no DNA from one's youth, the lost data can't be recovered, only replaced with a guess.
>>
>>71724906
Not only is this a christcuck argument (so it automatically makes it wrong), but it also fails as a christcuck argument. If you have actually read the Bible, it clearly says that when Jesus returns, he will rule the Earth for a thousand years with those who were accepted to the Kingdom of Heaven. Only after this thousand year rule will he bring everyone to the Kingdom of Heaven, where it was alleged that suffering and time as we know it would no longer exist, and the Kingdom of Heaven will exist for an eternity.

It's amazing how so many Christcucks know the Bible worse than an atheist.

Various ways. The rich and famous under go a 30k blood cleansing and collagen injection treatment, which is why people like maddona look 30 years old.
Lowering meat intake while increasing antioxidant and collagen intake will almost always get you up to a steady 90/85 year life expectancy. Decreasing sugar, egg and flour derivate intake, and making slight alterations in diet like changing your milk from dairy to almond or coconut milk, replacing white wih brown rice, and followin the already well established nutritional rate tables out there, applied to your weight and physical activity, will almost certainly increase your life expectancy.
Do not remain seated for longer than 4 hours, as it affecta metabolism in an undesirable way in the long run.
No tobacco and other addictive consumables, obviously, and exercise help too. You might think some of these things are what any regular old nutritionist will tell you to do, but from what my own studies conclude, they are right. Vegans have high life expectancy not because they eat no meat, but because they eat less of it. Meat products have heavy metal poisonings due to the meat industry occupying the same spaces as other industrial complexes, so eat local, 4 meat meals a week, sometimes more, sometimes less.
Sugar is horrid for your long term health.
Reduce phthalene intake, look it up, its important.

This is great. Here are some thoughts on how to have biological immortality be socially feasible:

>1.a) Close our borders. There is no need to constantly increase our population with external populations if the mortality/pensionist rates are extremely reduced.

>1.b)Minimize or eliminate the welfare state. There is no need to keep spending half of the government money into pensionists since everyone will be able to work.

>2.a) Enforce nationwide revertable-sterilization for those that choose to undergo this therapy. The reason is that we can't have our population exponentially increasing in number year after year, not until we figure out a solution to this problem.

>2.b) Figure out solutions to overpopulation that still allow us to have kids. Something like being able to produce more resources with less space or being able to colonize new spaces.

>3) Implement a system where you are expected to work for around 50 years and then take a break to do whatever you want for another 50 years. This way we keep the natural order of things going and people can change their careers and learn a completely new field in the future. Who wants to be biologically immortal and be a lawyer forever? Maybe you want to take a break and decide to become a chef or something later.

It can't happen in the current society though. That would be a complete disaster.
>>
>>71725466

Longer telomeres, which are the caps on the ends of strands of DNA. The more they divide, the shorter the telomeres get. Longer telomeres are younger than shorter, which is how you can get such accurate age from a blood sample.

No you only don't want to live forever because you don't want to put up with the inevitable decline that is aging.

The average American's "retirement plan" is going to be in lead, not gold. We can't afford treatment and don't want to be in excruciating pain, so we move to Oregon and take the pill.

But a 20 year old body. . .forever? As someone who is absolutely getting older, I can tell you that's pretty fucking attractive.

No. The mosquito doesnt inject blood, and even if it did, it would have to be compatible, and even then, it wouldnt be enough.
Blood cleansing and transfusion is a popular way for the rich to mantain youthfull look, which is why there are so many young looking ones.

no human ever died from telomere shortening

they are supposed to shorten and in those cells where they are not supposed to shorten the human already has enzymes that lengthen them

all you will achieve from randomly lengthening telomeres is give yourself cancer

Fruits and seeds with high ammounts of PUFA are horrible. Dried fruits have high ammounts of them, which is why they are so caloric.
The best diet is an informed diet. The nutrition rates of human beings for all nutrients and minerals is well established, even if you have to do a bit of digging to find them.
More vegetable consumption, less meat consumption, avoid soy and corn, careful with cooking oils (the ones with less unsaturated fats have higher saturated fats aka coconut, beef and butter) The best is to use olive oil, as it has a balance of both fatty acids.

Overpopulating is still a problem, even if you close borders country's around you will put pressure.
Religious retards of every sorts will go jihad.
And i honestly do not think that society of immortal people will be better than ours just because our current society's designed with human suffering, fragility of life and imminent death. This puts some restrictions on how people can be exploited. Just imagine that you are immortal at last, but still locked in neverending work and actually can't go much further in career since immortality basically means that your boss will never go. Yeah it's pretty shitty to pay your loans for years, but i can easily imagine immortalist capitalism that will exploit people for decades.

High consumption of vegetables causes lower caloric consumption rates, when did I say that wasnt the main factor as to why they have higher life expectancy?
I urge you to find a study that says a majority vegetable consumption diet isnt the best, quantumcuck.
And I'm the one who doesnt know what he's talking about, top. kek.
Unsaturated fatty acids, high consumption of dried fruits and of course soy and corn are obviously not advisable. I think you forgot what I wrote in my first post where I urged the research of nutrition rates. You'll find High vegetable/fruit, medium Carbohydrate low meat rates are the most ideal. But this of course, if you actually did any research rather than clamor for fearmongering against vegetable based diets just to be a contrarian to the unhealthy supplement hogging vegans.
Read a fucking book, an article on the internet, ANYTHING.
Youre vehemently defending vegetable diets are bad, hence I reckon te burden of proof is n you. You talked about PUFAs, but that doesnt mean you cant have a balanced diet without them. Vegans hog soy products because they think its a good alternative to meat products when it's shit, but of course, you forget that industria meat feeds soy, corn and seed to cattle and pigs, not to mention the unhealthy industrialized place where they are kept, which contaminates them with chemicals andheavy metals, andof course, the hormones injected in them.
Whic is why I said, a vegetable centric diet, with local rural meat to complement, and carb products like bread that arent made from ultra processed flour.

>>

And this is why the poor will never be allowed access to immortality.

Most of you plebs are incapable of understanding that 'life' never truly ends, not even when you die. It just changes forms.

Every new life is simply a reset for a life that re-enters the physical world.

It takes an enlightened mind to cope with an eternity of life, to accept that learning never ends, and that knowledge is endless.

You can keep being recycled into the mortal coil. Your rulers will be eternal, and will eternally rule you.

Varied diets give us varied phytonutrients that bind to specific proteins within our body. This means that many fruits and vegetables are good for a variety of different things. The "Balanced diet" isnt a meme. Its important to mix and match. Keep your eyes out and avoid Unsturated and saturated fatty acids, found in corn, canola and soy, and in many dried fruits, and the latter I hope you know how to avoid. Alot of people are unaware of PUFAs or just how calorically heavy dried fruits and certain seeds are. Flax seed oil is alright but there are better alternatives. Olive oil has a fairly low ammount of both saturated and unsaturated fats, Grapeseed oil has very high Unsaturated fatty acids, while coconut oil and butter are horrid in terms of saturated fat rates.
Dont overeat fruit, steer away from dry fruit and fruit heavy plates like fruit salads

Shut the fuck up up Joe Rogan.

You know damn well what we mean. Saying that life is a cycle and never really ends is fucking retarded because one's consciousness most definitely ends in death. Obviously matter is eventually rearranged into another brain which gives rise to another "life" but it has absolutely nothing to do with your own so it's a completely pointless statement to say the two are related or connected. It's no comfort to me that when I die the atoms that make up my body will become all sorts of other shit like dirt and grass because as soon as those atoms no longer support my continued consciousness then I no longer am alive in any meaningful sense.

They arent bad, the thing is people have this idea they should settle for High PUFA or High Saturated or High monosaturated when the fact is saturating (no pun intended) your body with only one type of fatty acid because some shitty pseudo science nutritional media outlet said one type of fatty acid isbad. Dont forget these are industries at war, keep an eye out for misinformation. The truth? They all have ups and downs, which is why balacing a diet is important.
Some outlets have begun saying saturated fats are badand you should only eat high PUFA shitlike grapeseed and flaxseed, then some contrarians said butter was the best and listed the problems with high PUFA consumption. Dont get caught up in those diatribes. PUFAs are the best of the three but only by a small margin, eat whatever has the best balance of fats with slight inclination the poli unsaturated.

In September 2015, telomere data taken from Parrish’s white blood cells by SpectraCell‘s specialised clinical testing laboratory in Houston, Texas, immediately before therapies were administered, revealed that Parrish’s telomeres were unusually short for her age, leaving her vulnerable to age-associated diseases earlier in life.

Parrish’s reaction: “Current therapeutics offer only marginal benefits for people suffering from diseases of aging. Additionally, lifestyle modification has limited impact for treating these diseases. Advances in biotechnology is the best solution, and if these results are anywhere near accurate, we’ve made history”, Parrish said.

But would you really remain the same person throughout time immortal? After a thousand years, would you really have much in common with yourself at age twenty? How about when you're a million years old? Seems like you'd end up being a continuous array of different people who slowly overwrite each other as each millennia passes, one after another.

That the majority of people in North America are terribly deficient in it since we don't go outside as much as our ancestors did. Also being fat sucks up a lot of your vitamin D, so fat people (the majority of North Americans) need even more vitamin D than our ancestors did. Also that vitamin D is really more of a hormone than a true vitamin so being deficient in it can screw up all kinds of regulatory systems in your body.

I make an effort to get outside more but still use a topical vitamin D cream a couple of days a week when I get out of the shower. Might be the placebo effect but it does seem to have improved my mood significantly.

I recommend using meat as a side serving rather than the main course, that way you can distribute
mea consumption throughout the week. Zuchini, tomato, bell pepper, leafy vegetables and pastas are my favorites. Remember carbs are both your best friend and your worst enemy, but make good bases for dishes. Dishes like salads arevery low on fiber, so try balancing vegetable consumption with carb intake and use meat as side servings with mouthsized portions like meat strips. Leguminous foods are good but dont do somethin like dumping whole bowls of grain like my parents used to do when I was younger to conserve money. Leguminous and seeds, as Ive stated, have quite high poli unsaturateds.
Honestly my opinion is justbe creative, which soundscliché but
is very much true in these cases, print nutritional tables, and complementthem with dishes like meat chunks with a pasta of your choice and salted red onions and ring-cut bell pepper, rice with salmon lain in a bed of lettuce and cubed tomato with balsamic vinegar. And of course you can have simple yet balanced meals like salads as long as you dont neglect carbs and other fibers.

Because that's what it would take for this whole situation to not repeat in three to ten generations.
>>
>>71738157
Quite the opposite, in fact. As we get older, the brains ability to form new connections, and operate them efficiently decreases. Slowly, over millennia, you would become more "set in your ways", until you were effectively running on a simple set of habitual pattern recognition behaviors similar to instinct.
In other words, you would gradually become less human and more animalistic, as your ability to adapt to new situations become eroded. A truly terrifying thought.

So we actually would become a society unable to adapt to changes in the universe around us. We'd need space travel for sure in order for the various hardened sects that would form to have their own spaces independent of each other. And if we found new planets on which we could expand, would older people be able to even stand for there to be new births since young people would inevitably be against the social order which would no longer be able to adjust to new ideas?
>>

It's unfortunate yeah. Ou her people in the thread saying estrogen in water is what causes efeminate youth when the truth is that phthalates are very common in modern and unbalanced diets.
The tomato is very common. It's a great fruit but of course like everything, it has its downsides. Small ammounts of such t estosterone inhibitors are not too problematic as the hormonal feedback systems will usually complement drops in production. The thing about Phthalates is that they survive industrial processing fairly well, so it is often present in even frozen meals. Get fresh tomato and eat it with some regularity as it has great antioxidant content. Aslong as yu dont start putting two tomatoes in every meal there shouldnt be much of a problem

Extended lifetimes would be a boon to space travel, as we could coast to nearby star systems using Orion ships. It wouldn't matter if the journey took hundreds of years. In this way, man will gradually spread out into the galaxy.
Also, increased lifespans would mean an increase in wisdom and knowledge, so our progress as a sentient species would accelerate.
The problem of immortal decrepitude would sort itself out, I think. As very, very old people became less able to adapt to their surroundings, the universe will simply kill them off the old fashioned way. Most of the time, having degenerated to that extent, they would be unaware of their doom, so it would be a blessing.
>>
>>71739552
It is. Fats are used when you do exercise, The body uses different energy sources in a layered favoritism manner. First, higher use of glycids, carbs and sugars for energy. These provide very quick metabolic energy, so they are great for when you are going for a run afterwards. Then, when mostofthese are expended, fats and fatty acids are expended. It used to be tha nutritionists pointedthese to be the main causes of weight gain in populations, but modern diets have become so carb and sugar intensive and at the same time so sedentary, that the weight switched to the first, which is aslo the quickest to be expended. Fats have a slightly longer metabolic conversion, and are often found in meat and dairy products. Conceivably, you could eat almost no meat andstill be able to exercise thanks to glycids, but thos isnt a good idea because of this last layer of metabolic fuel. Protein has the lowest metabolic rate, but is very important. Often, your body wont be eating through it unless youre starving. Lack of it causes muscular atrophy as it is the prefered energy source of energy for ATP conversion in localised parts of the body like muscles. This is why a skinny ass vegan always feels like crap and low energy, the lack of fat and carb probably from eating only salads has made the body have to tap into protein stores for energy. Long story short, depending on work load, you can eat more meat, but have to reduce carb intake in the food you eat before physical exercise.

Play "No Man's Sky" on the PS4. Life is meaningless and only the narcissistic and egomaniacs are going to become immortal.

>most tech starts expensive then gets cheap

Might be true except for a true "immortality" drug. Once immortal the makers will no longer need to care about the swift income they will have all the time they desire to amass wealth so there will no longer be a need to open it up to the general population. Combine that with the "exclusivity" a high price tag will offer and universal desire of such a product and it would be easy to see this as a rich only luxury item.

Law is a clown's profession. The only 4 fields in the future are going to be design, engineering, science, and medicine. Lawyers won't be needed since a robot can punch you in the face and tell you how much you broke the law.

Basically this. Soros will live forever, whie our life expectancy will continue to decline.

lol

I give it 2 months until there's a laboratory in China that'll synthesize it distribute it, just like every "anti-aging" drug that's still in clinical trials. You can get a gram of Daumone for $700 if you really wanted to right now.

Is Ray Kurzweil one of the investors to Bioviva? If so, then you should worry.

This. Only source is a corporate press release. It's like when the Raelians claimed to have cloned a human.

And even when it is done in a lab and clinical setting, it must be repeated before taken as fact, as the fiasco with that Korean biologist who fabricated half his results unfortunately set.

Actually with how often babies are popped out thats a far greater issue than genetically immortal people. Actually be interesting to see what happens with retirement and social security. Funny I was just talking about this with my boss a few days ago

Actually, Liz Parrish is trying to make the techniques as affordable as possible. She's very vocal about it - although I don't have faith she'll succeed. She wants things like medical insurance to cover them, which will happen about exactly when man walks on the sun.

it doesnt matter, we'll still live for as long as our brains will let us to

if someone really wanted to experiment with prolonging lifespan, theyd start by researching how to prevent brain ageing and diseases associated with it. Trying to rejuvenate body is just trying to fix a shell

Why the fuck would you want to live forever?

That's literally what Bioviva is doing. You guys never read up on anything on this board, do you?

I agree with other anons that this will only exacerbate cancer related death. Nature will not suffer an immortal entity in its midst, and has thus ensured our destruction through countless alternative means.

So we need to develop critical thinking and case based reactivity while devaluing and dissuading the rules based reaction models

Every immortal must become a completely unbiased empiricist if not an outright scientist

So, let's say I want to inhibit testosterone production, would it be advisable to augment a diet with high phthalate items?

All past attempts at this have resulted in mega-cancer
