Mason journeyman here. After getting a few years of experience in a company, i just sorta quit. Now i just work part time, off the books. On the weekends mostly, but never more than 20 hours a week. Since its off the books, i dont pay taxes and the one im working for doesnt have to pay for all that insurance bullshit that companies demand, so i can expect to get 20-30€/h. It pays off everything and i still save some at the end of the month. I also get unemployment money on top of that :^)

There is no denying that nepotism plays a role, or that people favour their own over others, or that some people were born into luxury, making some things easier for them (in contrast to others).
However, I do not believe that they should apologize for their being born into luxury; they have nothing to apologize for. I do agree that the few who had to do literally nothing to become employed, who then go around and tell tales of how hard they worked have some hypocrisy in what they say, but the reality is that many people still do have to work at achieving their goals.

I am still an advocate for hard work, as I believe that the vast majority of people can achieve success if they stop comparing themselves to the successful people (I think that they should wish to mimic their success, but not follow the same path, as it is not likely to end well). The sense of entitlement and lethargy modern youth have is also a big factor, demanding for higher wages while maintaining shit work ethic and chasing jobs that generate less money than they are demanding.
