A few additions to your points.
On the first point, don't forget that there's not even justice happening with this. Countries like Finland, Sweden and Austria are getting disproportionately many asylum seekers even though countries like France and USA have been more active at messing with Middle-east. The migrants are deliberately going to countries that offer the best amount of welfare bucks. And they are gonna be a massive financial burden to us.
On your second point, helping them in their own countries would be less expensive too. Hosting the migrants in Europe and teaching them all the local stuff (writing and reading, European languages, education for a job, how to use a stove, how to not rape women, etc) gets very expensive. It would be more cost-efficient to send aid abroad; you'd be able to help a lot more people with the same money.
On the third point: the other problem is that accepting the boat migrants is endangering people's lives. Since there's a high chance of a reward, people are gonna set out on that life-threatening journey across the sea. If all the illegal immigrants that got caught were punished with deportation back, the reward would be too small compared to the risk, and people would stop trying to cross the sea (see: Australia's example). We wouldn't have to see sad photos of drowned kids anymore.
And on the topic of Isis: if all the grown healthy Syrian men leave their families and homes and run off, there's gonna be no one left to fight back Isis. The migrants are letting the bad guys win.

What's gonna be more difficult is finding out about the average income of somebody on welfare in several European country. You will furthermore also want to compare things such as "soft characteristics" of quality of life.
Is the European country more secure? Does it have better overall infrastructure? Does it have free healthcare services? Does it have more political freedom? More friendly government? Point (a) is rather difficult to answer. It's difficult because I don't even understand it. I don't care that there was colonialism in the past. It does nothing for whatever objectives we try to achieve today. My standard answer is this : people wouldn't want to come to Europe if it was poor. The Ottoman had an empire that was just as great as that of Europe and nobody is clamoring for some kind of reparation. So the whole situation is about money and quality of life. The focus on colonialism is a ploy used by interested party to get Europe to comply through guilt. They want material wealth in Europe. End of story. Colonialism is just an excuse they use to get it. It wouldn't be mentioned if people didn't want to come to Europe.
Point (b) must be answered by breaking down this number. How many of those 500 millions are from a European background? Those the 500 million include the eastern bloc and the balkan countries? If so, it's fundamentally dishonest. Migration today means : western European countries and Scandinavia. Migrant don't settle uniformly. Some city in Belgium are already 25% muslim.
Point (c) should already have been taken care of by a careful analysis of what it is exactly that Europe needs in term of migrant. Presumably, it is not migrants that are needed but skilled labor in order to maintain the welfare system. It is very easy to show that not all migrant will help achieve those objectives, that many of them actually positively hinders them and that, if migrants are needed, there is nothing that says that those migrants have to be from Islamic sub-human shitholes.

Namely, if the determination of human life is done through socialization and various modes of social construction, it stands to reason that someone born in a completely different country, with another history, another culture, and an enormous wealth gap, would not have produced a human being which would have been socialized the same way as any given European. In the end, the justification ends up being economic. They say that they need migrant to sustain economic growth.
But in order for that to happen you need qualified workers. The best way to do that type of immigration is actually through the companies that need those worker. They'll submit visa request to the government on the ground that the people they bring in are gonna work for them.
That's basically the way to do it. Uncontrolled mass migration from countries where they don't have roads doesn't accomplish shit in this regard.
