I would argue that the libertarian way is superior if you want "social cohesion."
If you were sick and couldn't afford treatment, you would be dead UNLESS you had a social network to support you. Parents, brothers, extended family, children, friends, community. You would actually need to be sociable and a good citizen if you wanted the "safety net."
State-funded healthcare means you can be a total cunt, a worthless pile of shit, with no family friends or community, and the state will take care of you.
It's pretty clear to me that libertarianism is superior if you ACTUALLY want "social cohesion."
