The day he was announced. I was working in the same industry as Trump (Casinos, highrise hotels) and my old boss knew him and told me he was legit. Actually found out my old boss was supporting him when he introduced Trump at one of the rallies.
Funny thing is I had no idea he was going to run and I just so happened to tune in. I kept thinking, man the media is going to tear him up but damn I like a lot of what he is saying. He had some spittle in the corner of his mouth for part of the announcement and I was like "OH SHIT thats it he is finished, the media are going to go crazy about that". Trump still has a structural problem, however. He should be above 60% if it were only about issues, leadership skills and merit. But he's been damaged enough over time in part due to his own mistakes and lack of preparation, that those 10-15 "extra" percentage points and missed endorsements, might come to haunt him at the Convention.
Remember, even the '1237' rule is just a made-up number. It's not some Constitutionally-mandated thresh-hold. Meaning: RNC can just change it tomorrow to 1500. Or they can just select their Nominee altogether, canceling all Primary results. Yes, that would mean a lot of pissed off Trump supporters. But guess what? GOP hates Trump that much! They are willing to commit party-suicide to stop him.
And part of the blame is on Donald himself - he made fun of, mocked, attacked and counter-attacked literally every powerful person in world of politics. Watching this Hannity segment, I'm seeing/feeling/knowing a few things:
Melania needs to be with Trump on a lot of his campaign here on out. She's absolutely adorable and I think she has a charm that people will gravitate to.
This crowd is absolutely passionate and on fire. These are the people who will go home tonight and get on social media/telephone/text messaging and really push people to Trump.

Is Trump receiving a late surge in Wisconsin? I'm not sure my self. The Trump +10 ARG poll looks promising, but the Rato +5 Emerson is somewhat worrying. It's worth noting however that Emerson is a day earlier (March 31-April 3) so it might not have completely caught the surge like ARG (April 1-April 3). Also the Emerson poll is made up of 57% Republican and 37% independent. The ARG poll on the other hand is 60% Republican and 40% other (dems and independents). It is worth noting that WI is an open ballot primary meaning Dems can vote Republican if they ask for a R ballot. IMO I believe he's receiving somewhat of a late surge because Reuters is capturing one now (nationally), however Trump will really need Independents and Dems to turnout for him to win. Your thoughts?
