He cut his losses and went back to work saving for a few years. Started a service station... it failed. He once again cut his losses and saved up. Finally my dad started a muffler/brake shop... it was successful and he ended up owning 3.
My point is most women now wouldn't tolerate a failure like I listed above they would bail calling you a loser, and take half the money with the kids. Someone like my dad would have much more trouble starting a business today not just because of the economy but because of the change in values.
