they would have to figure out a way to stretch or add telomeres at the tips of a clone's chromosomes. when DNA gets copied, telomeres get chopped off a little bit at a time until you run out of telomeres and you're actually getting useful DNA chopped off. it's why we age and it's why Dollie the cloned sheep died of old age even though it was a "young" sheep. DNA has a shelf-life and if you clone old DNA, the clone is technically the same age as the DNA even though it could be a baby. Science.
