Go to a top ranked computer science program in college. Software engineers are treated like gods, it's the ultimate occupation. They're in so much demand that any company competes to offer them more benefits. My friends that work at Google and other big name tech companies can come into work whenever they want, telecommute whenever they want, get free food all day long, make 150k+. They only do about 4 ours of work a day and spend the rest going to tech talks and working on personal projects which you are required to spend time on - they can be whatever you want as long as it's coding something.

You don't really need a top ranked computer science program. A four year degree, and some demonstrable development experience is the golden ticket.
Rest of what you say is absolutely true, you don't even need to work for a big name company. Just be an actual developer that isn't some autistic "specialist" that doesn't understand anything outside a very narrow portion of IT and you are gold. IE: don't be that guy that can ONLY program in C++, and ONLY that. Put them in front of excel, or literally any sort of hardware and they just start to drool.
Computer science. I've only seen a "software engineering" major at shit schools and community colleges. Tech companies specifically ask for a CS degree.

One of my friends makes a living from home basically making websites for small businesses, he doesn't know graphic design or know how to code, all he does is buy a license for a word press theme and set it up. The themes look professional enough that the business owners are more than happy to pay for it. He also other things like website hosting, logo design (he gets cunts from Fiverr to design logos for him), etc. it's really easy lol.

I've done more self improvement in 6 months of having a job than in all 4 years of being NEET. Lost weight, don't fap as much, depression is gone and i'm gaining confidence / talking to people like i'm not a fucking autist.
Sucks when i have to work like 6-7 days in a row, but mostly it's 2 days on 1 off, with me getting called in for 90% of my shifts, so i can turn them down if i really want to.
