>"Russia warned the incident ... would have 'serious consequences'. And a leading Moscow military analyst said war was 'most likely'"
>Britain and the US have both backed up Turkey
>China will likely back up Russia
What are the chances that this escalates into a war? I can't imagine it happening, but if it does, it will be WWI all over again.

naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

It won't happen now, but if more stuff happens, it could.

China will most likely stay out. However Russia will be forced to do something about Turkey, they can't just let it slide.

Why not just fully back kurds?

Methinks Putin is hoping to wait until economic problems rock the west before he starts the real show.
>President Pussyass backing up anybody
I know they are his terrorist brethren but I doubt he'll bother.
I would never expect WW3 to happen over support of ISIS by the western world.
It seems ISIS is a crucial investment to the USA and it's pawns and all opposition to it is a farce.

China doesn't need to fight.
Just impose sanctions for a week, watch as the US markets collapse, and have the US sue for peace.
Boom, they've just gotten rid of the top NATO ally.

>China will likely back up Russia
Too bad, China will never do anything
>>56688308
It's not going to happen now, not over just an SU-24 getting shot down.
Mostly likely Russia will try some economic fuckery against Turkey with tariffs or something, but they don't have a strong enough reason for waging war against NATO at the moment - as much as we think China likes Russia, they like being able to trade with the US a lot more.

You do realise that would destroy China's economy as well.
China wouldn't back up Russia in a World War.
