I haven't been following this war that closely until the Paris shooting. Can anybody sum up what's going on, who the bad guys are(aside from ISIL) and why we're fighting with Russia?
All I've understood so far is that Syrians are fleeing the country and that US is arming the wrong side according to Russia.
Russia is stupid and helping a tyrant
IS is using a civil war as an opportunity to gain territory
US is helping rebels fight against bad guys
Also Europe is getting screwed over by refugees. US is getting some too.
