The truth is that psychedelics DO point people toward universal truth and salvation. The problem is the mechanistic and selfish culture we live in. Psychedelics will not lead people into truth if they are still prey to the materialistic culture that dominates the Western World, only into a transcendent experience (positive or negative, it's a "Good Trip" or a "Bad Trip", but there's no learning experience that changes the individual). You CAN abuse LSD or mushrooms, just opening and closing the same door to higher consciousness with never progressing further.
