I have some interesting news about Ebola that I discovered over the weekend. My mother is the regional director for an entire state. I can't tell you what state because you'll obviously be able to doxx me. Remember the N1H1 flu panic a few years ago? Well my mom with the help of the CDC and the governor drafted the plan and paper work that the state government was to use in case of an outbreak in a city(heavily black). Like Connecticut declaring a state of emergency every state has these contingency plans in place. But last week my mom had to go to a meeting/conference with the governor, CDC, TSA, State police, and Homeland Security.
The goal of the meeting was to draft and revise the outbreak contingency plans in the event that my state was to declare a state of emergency like Connecticut. But what came out as a result of this meeting has my mom so scared that she asked me to travel 3 hours to her farm. I'll kind of list what she told me below.
She told me that the CDC believe that there is an Airborne strain of an Ebola or Ebola like hemorrhagic fever. The majority of cases we see is the non-airborne Ebola virus, but there is evidence that there is a smaller strain that is Airborne.
In the event of an outbreak in my state the Governor will declare a state of emergency and activate the National Guard.
Here's the fucked up part.
The CDC said that if the virus is not contained in Texas or more infected people make it to other parts of the country and it gets out of control the estimated death toll in the USA alone is around 5-10 million people over 3 years. The majority will be in poor black cities. The estimated cost will be at least 1 trillion dollars.

The oral administration should begin simultaneously, but the intravenous route should not be abandoned until the clinical response is complete.
