This afternoon I was in a group of white people having a conversation about race (don't ask), and I said something that made a few people in the group audibly gasp. I don't even recall what it was, that's the worrysome thing - whatever it was seemed like a perfectly reasonable thing to say, to me at the time. After that every other thing someone said was passive-aggressively aimed at me, lectures about white privledge, etc.
This sort of interaction is just starting to pile up in my life and depress the shit out of me. My closest old friend and I recently had a falling out over our differences on a few things, and he told me my brother and father have talked about disowning me for being a "racist", which is somewhat my own fault for egging them on instead of apologizing and going to the ends of the world for nothing trying to convince them I'm not.
Sometimes when I'm feeling really gay, I dream of a future where all this cultural marxism shit has finally been rejected by the masses and is seen as totally uncool, where casual racism is just funny again, everybody lightens up a little, and people like us are revered like elder brothers for having shown them the truth so long before, even when they persecuted us for it.
