Redpill me on the New Deal

Are you referring to this? (USA, 1930s, Great Depression)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Deal
>>
>>78802820
Yes.
>>
>>78802472

Prolonged the Great Depression until 1941. If Hoover was reelected, the economy would have turned around by 1935.

If Boris Johnson looked downbeat yesterday, that is because he realises that he has lost.
Perhaps many Brexiters do not realise it yet, but they have actually lost, and it is all down to one man: David Cameron.

With one fell swoop yesterday at 9:15 am, Cameron effectively annulled the referendum result, and simultaneously destroyed the political careers of Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and leading Brexiters who cost him so much anguish, not to mention his premiership.

How?

Throughout the campaign, Cameron had repeatedly said that a vote for leave would lead to triggering Article 50 straight away. Whether implicitly or explicitly, the image was clear: he would be giving that notice under Article 50 the morning after a vote to leave. Whether that was scaremongering or not is a bit moot now but, in the midst of the sentimental nautical references of his speech yesterday, he quietly abandoned that position and handed the responsibility over to his successor.

And as the day wore on, the enormity of that step started to sink in: the markets, Sterling, Scotland, the Irish border, the Gibraltar border, the frontier at Calais, the need to continue compliance with all EU regulations for a free market, re-issuing passports, Brits abroad, EU citizens in Britain, the mountain of legistlation to be torn up and rewritten … the list grew and grew.

The referendum result is not binding. It is advisory. Parliament is not bound to commit itself in that same direction.

The Conservative party election that Cameron triggered will now have one question looming over it: will you, if elected as party leader, trigger the notice under Article 50?

Who will want to have the responsibility of all those ramifications and consequences on his/her head and shoulders?

>part 2

Boris Johnson knew this yesterday, when he emerged subdued from his home and was even more subdued at the press conference. He has been out-maneouvered and check-mated.

If he runs for leadership of the party, and then fails to follow through on triggering Article 50, then he is finished. If he does not run and effectively abandons the field, then he is finished. If he runs, wins and pulls the UK out of the EU, then it will all be over – Scotland will break away, there will be upheaval in Ireland, a recession … broken trade agreements. Then he is also finished. Boris Johnson knows all of this. When he acts like the dumb blond it is just that: an act.

The Brexit leaders now have a result that they cannot use. For them, leadership of the Tory party has become a poison chalice.

When Boris Johnson said there was no need to trigger Article 50 straight away, what he really meant to say was “never”. When Michael Gove went on and on about “informal negotiations” … why? why not the formal ones straight away? … he also meant not triggering the formal departure. They both know what a formal demarche would mean: an irreversible step that neither of them is prepared to take.

All that remains is for someone to have the guts to stand up and say that Brexit is unachievable in reality without an enormous amount of pain and destruction, that cannot be borne. And David Cameron has put the onus of making that statement on the heads of the people who led the Brexit campaign.

If the referendum becomes meaningless, then Nigel Farage and the Far Right will become THE major political party in the UK. And then the platform will go further to the right including outright racism. It'll look more and more like Britain First minus the name.

Alternatively, if the UK goes through with the referendum, Nigel will never know power again and the Far Right will be destroyed.

Westminster has to think very, very, VERY, carefully how it wants to proceed here. Each option is admittedly is a 'bad choice' for what they want, But considering the fact that the Far Right is rising in France and the Netherlands, the latter option is the preferable option.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2016/06/25/after-residents-voted-for-brexit-this-british-county-realized-the-e-u-might-stop-sending-them-money/

>After residents voted for Brexit, this British county realized the E.U. might stop sending them money

>The county is heavily dependent on the more than 60 million British pounds ($82 million) in E.U. subsidies per year that are transferred to the region and that have helped finance infrastructure projects and education schemes. Now, county officials are panicking — fearing the worst for the county's future and wondering why one of the most E.U.-dependent counties in Britain voted against the E.U. — and its money.

>"Leave" campaigners had previously reassured the county that it would not lose any subsidies if it left the E.U. However, Cornwall officials are now worried that such reassurances might have been little more than ill-thought-out promises.

Why is everyone just automatically assuming Britain can't exist without the EU?

Why can't they just re negotiate trade and work agreements, and remain outside the EU?

What is the fucking problem with this?

Consider me a friend of the Anglo peoples with connections.

There is a MASSIVE conspiracy behind the recent remain shilling.

Long Story Short: Putin and Russian interests own UK offshore oil wells and are using them not to drill, but rather as "ports" to launder dirty oil.

They drill for oil without environmental regulations on Russian land and ship it through the Norwegian Sea to the North Sea where it is then masked as having been drilled at UK rigs. They then use the UK rigs to get the oil into the EU, bypassing regulations and any other tariffs in the process.

The removal of the UK from the EU is projected to cost Putin & Pals BILLIONS a year. Following the talk of a referendum, Putin & Pals invested millions into remain propaganda to keep their sham afloat. Jo Cox was killed not by her own people, but by her puppet masters, in a failed attempt you all saw through.

Indian VPN infrastructures are being used to increase google searches of the EU in order to feign ignorance of the British people concerning the vote. Actors are being paid to appear on the media claiming they did not understand the leave vote when they voted for it. No one would have voted against the status quo without realizing what they were doing, its basic human nature. Twitter bots are in full shill mode, feel free to scan remain tweets for duplicates, they do exist and are extremely plentiful. The online voting campaigns demanding a recount are open to the entire world, not just the UK, further skewing the true opinion of the British people.

The 2011 Shell North Sea Oil Spill was a set up to hide the fact that the oil economy of the North Sea is nearly non existent, investigate this to learn the truth and uncover the iceberg.

Brexit has done two things: remove a massive money making scheme, greatly harming Russian interests AND increased the odds of a politically united Anglosphere. Be warned, this will be slid quickly. The truth is out there for those willing to search.

Mayor of town where Trayvon Martin died was carjacked and robbed at gunpoint by three teenage dindus.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/jeff-triplet-mayor-sanford-flordia-trayvon-martin-carjacked/

George Zimmerman was not a racist. He was taught who and what to fear as a result of the constant demonstrations of criminal behaviors by the criminals in the area where he lived. It caIled using natural common sense as a means of developing a survival instinct.

I think Zimmerman should be in prison for manslaughter (at least) and I still find that hilarious.

To be clear on my position: just because Zimmerman had every reason to be angry with, and afraid of, niggers, doesn't mean that he didn't straight up murder that kid. If you take the law more seriously that the average /pol/ shitposter, you can't really say 'well, you murdered him but he was a nigger so the laws don't apply'.

if anything this is proof that lax gun laws don't do anything to protect civilians, and just give criminals easier access to weapons.
