>>719976
>supposed to camp at least 50 feet from water
i get diarrhea a lot camping (probably not boiling my water thoroughly or something) so i need to be a lot closer to the river in case i get the trots. plus it's hard to find your way to the shore in the middle of the night if you have to pooh
dude. use the baby fiskars ffs
I live adjacent to a National Forest and I want to tie some dark green ribbons that are hardly noticeable to trees so i can find my way through the woods between my land and the National Forest trails. Is there anything illegal in doing this? I've emailed the Forest Ranger asking about it and I haven't heard a response in weeks. I also try calling the number on the website and I always get a voicemail with no call backs. Should I just do it anyways?
>>719999
just learn the forest anon. don't be lame and tie ribbons and shit. tuns tie ribbons to the trees. TUNS

>>719999
Quads say yes

Once you're out of the central belt with all the towns and cities mobile reception drops of and becomes very patchy.
Makes me think any time someones like 'lulz I'm posting on /out/ and I'm out!!' that really they're just in their backyard or local park...
>>720120
I can be 15 miles from the nearest small town and get on top of a mtn and get service.
>>720120
i was on this hippy commune once
they were adjacent to national forest land
we used to climbed up the mountain to the national forest with no civilization in sight to make phone calls

>>719944
i might stay for a night.
where is your pack or did you drive there?
if you drove to your camp, chances are good that some dumb drunk rednecks will drive up in the middle of the night and crash your camp.
>>719999
>some dark green ribbons that are hardly noticeable
really??.......really?
>>720225
bring a camera?
post them when you get home?
>>719944
You in the UK? Is that Nescafé gold blend?
>>719944
I'm getting drunk at home tonight because it's feezing rain outside so your 4/10 campsite is still way better than mine. So 12/10 for being outside in the freezing rain, because that's all that actually matters.
>>720679
Ugh... just noticed you didn't even bother to clear the leaves around the fire... back to 4 points with you even if they are wet, and don't do it again.
Good morning from the Scandinavian woods.
What's wrong with my tiny Fiskars? It is great for regular firewood.
Also, first time bringing the gf outside. She had never been camping before, but she loves it.
>>720741
>What's wrong with my tiny Fiskars?
nuthing. we just want see it in action. derp.
>>720741

>>720741
wtf you look girlish + asian
>>720810
brah she dont love it. look at that body language everything is closed. hands feet shoulders and arms. and bright white ass shoes.. brah you did her wrong by not letting her know. she looks like her top half is bundled to hell and layered but her bottom half is skinny jeans if not jean colored yoga pants. no fuckin hat or gloves. you are a shit b/f and shitty at introducing out. cold uncomfortable people dont enjoy themselves and this poor girl is clearly cold and uncomfortable.
>>720198
I'm extremely ashamed to say this picture confused the shit out of me.
Thought something cool was about to happen.
I've had way too much on my plate to actually camp but here's one from last summer.
>>722415
>poor girl
It's a shame you can't ride up on your alabaster steed and save her from the cruel NorDick
>>722415
The pic is of her poking her head out of the tent and smiling.
>>719999
chek'd
Who the fuk cares if it's legal. While they may be NF they're YOUR neighborhood woods. TIe ribbons until the trail starts to stand a lone. It's not like anyone will ever see them or know it was you that did it.

Here's my last campsite. Note the lack of everything. No need for a ground campfire. No need for a tent site or trash strewn everywhere. All I need is a bed roll, dew cover, sleeping bag, canteen, BBQ lighter, knife I made, cook pot, snares, fishing line-hooks, folding shovel, and rocket stove. I sleep in a different spot every night. You'd never know I was there since all the evidence of my camping is some flattened grass that recovers in a day and maybe a carcass which the coyotes take care of the next night.
i'm not really /out/ at all I did touristy shit at the Grand Canyon
But I thought these plains were really cool I want to go to these plains
Here is my current camp. Nothing special, I am currently building up my walls, so next time I'm here I will have a much better set up.
Implying there's cell signal where I go /out/. Hell there's barely cell signal in the towns.

I like this one, where is this anon? I'm guessing midwest?
>>722548
Personally, I'd rake all those leaves and stuff them under the tent. The barren area helps keep critters away, gives you some loft to sleep on, and lowers the off chance of fire spread. You can always re-spread them when done.

>>not understanding the basics of cell reception and how the towers work
And you do?
I don't even have cell reception AT HOME.
He was right...if you have cell reception you are not /out unless you have a satellite phone.
>>723224
Why do you throw bread/buns in front of your tent?
>>723710
That isn't a tent, it is a walmart tarp likely held up by a stick.
100% certain the fellow inside is a neckbeard and those buns are for his fellow neckbeards.
