Not OC but I've been here. NZ.
was pretty comfy here last weekend. it's a brutal snowshoe or skin up to here, but it's totally worth it.

it looks drafty and cold '~'

someone recently installed a double-window to help with the drafts. if you keep the stove going it gets unbearably warm in there pretty quick. I still pack in a 0 degree sleeping back just incese.

Can someone suggest /comfiest/ spots in Southern California?
Backpacking or Car Camping destinations, either one.
So far I am aware of Santa Rosa mt and Anza Borrengo area

Looks like multiple people share it/ come and go.
Is that the case? If so, how does that work out?
>>721569
That is the case. Cabin is located on USFS property. There are a few regulars who do repairs, but it's first come, first serve. No reservations. It's possible you might trek out there and someone's already using it (it's happened to me) in which case you're sharing, or you gotta figure out other plans for the night.
No story. Just a nice, crisp September night by the campfire.

This looks awesome. Where exactly?

I just moved to Texarkana. Where is this pls?

Near Brisbane, Australia. Camping on the dunes is actually not permitted as the ecosystem is pretty fragile, so I just stayed there the night and went to the bathroom/cook way off the sand.
Was my home for 3 days
My camping spot on the Rogue River last summer
