I don't know about the WR, but I hear it's not bad. With the DRZ you'll likely need to change your oil every 2k miles or less. It's much better than an MX bike but most street bikes allow you to go much longer.

I really really really don't understand what point you're trying to make here - I did exactly what you asked and proved that you can throw a $2000 rock and hit a clean cb350 pretty easily. I live in Williamsburg NYC which is basically the epicenter of this shit too so you'd think there would be scarcity.

If the point you're trying to make is there aren't as many 45 year old vintage motorcycles lying around in low population areas, no shit. That has nothing to do with hipsters chopping up old japbikes.

and to expound, if people are buying shitbikes for cafe racers, don't you think that the existing cafe's are more likely to circulate heavily if there is the popularity you're proposing than be converted (by lazy as fuck hipsters) from existing stock bikes?

seriously, what is your point here? what is the problem with faggots in brooklyn buying cheap as fuck super common old japbikes and tearing them apart? there isn't any shortage, they aren't driving prices up (in fact yall are now arguing they are driving prices down), and they have 0 impact on your life.

Its a measure of the volume of displacement in the engine. The physical space in the cylinders where fuel is compressed and ignited to generate power.

You'd probably win any race until you hit 100 or so. Its more about the handling than the speed.

Nope, seriously. Maybe selective internet hearing but I find exactly that happening.

>>
>>14899041
It's not that simple, number of cylinders and how highly strung the motor is have a large effect. A 650 single makes 45-50 HP and a 600 i4 makes 130.
>>
>>14899041
The displacement of an engine doesn't actually tell you how much power it produces.
Some 1000cc+ engines make less power than 600cc engines. So there is no direct correlation between the engine size and how the bike will fit a given rider.

There are a lot of nuances to engines and how they make power, displacement is just some metric that marketing departments decided stuck with consumers.

It's pretty simple really. A motorcycle with a full tank generally weighs between 350 and 600 pounds. The rider will add another 150 to 300 pounds.

The engine is pretty small and only has so much horsepower, so the heavier the rider the more horsepower and torque you need to move the bike and the rider.

Sport bikes are like Japanese sports cars. They're light and have low power at low RPMs and have to rev really high to get up and go. They go really fast but they're pretty dangerous.

Cruisers are more like American muscle cars. They don't have a lot of power compared to their weight, but they have a lot of low end torque, though that means their top speed is generally pretty low compared to sport bikes.

Since you're a really big guy, you're going to need a lot more power and a lot bigger bike than someone who's only 5'8 and 160lbs. You're probably going to want a cruiser, and as a big guy a sub 1000cc engine isn't going to cut it on the highway.

Get a 1000+cc Japanese cruiser. Don't buy a Harley Davidson because they're unreliable and cost twice as much as the Jap bike because of the brand.

Since you're a football player with your career ahead of you, don't go too fast, make sure you're always riding defensively, and wear all your gear all the time. None of this jeans and a tshirt with a half helmet shit. Get riding pants, boots, gloves, and a jacket and full helmet. You'll prevent most injuries when you fall this way, and at this point in your career you really don't want to be sidelined because you slid down the highway and got the skin on your arms, back, and legs shredded.

Absolutely never ride in flipflops or tennis shoes. Boots only. More than anything else other than the helmet you'll need boots, because there's nothing that can end a season faster than a serious foot injury. Especially for a lineman like you who needs a good solid base.

Oh, and one other thing that comes up with football players a lot.

Under no circumstances should you ever drink and ride. More than half of all motorcycle accidents involve alcohol, and athletes are very prone to DUI. I don't know what division or school you play at, but nothing will cause your draft stock to plummet faster than a DUI or DUI related accident. Especially on something as dangerous as a motorcycle.

Damn I didn't see this.

But it's the combination of hyperfocus, ie. being in "The zone" and the adrenaline rush of being scared shitless.

There is no space in your brain left for thoughts about anything else, 100% of your focus is directed toward riding the bike, getting the lines right and making sure you don't bloody crash.

This is why people like fabio say 4 hours on a motorcycle is like a weeks vacation, you will struggle NOT to think of life's problems while on vacation but you can't think about anything else at all, not even what you're gonna have for dinner while you're on a motorcycle riding twisties.

It's not that much heavier than my SV, SV's aren't that light, they're heavier than 600s and such, they're close to 200kg with a full fuel tank.

I think what gives people the impression that they're lighter than they actually are is the way the engine is all packaged around the centre of rotation on the bike while it's a bit further forward on an I4 bike.

I4 is probably better for a beginner, the SV's are pretty sharp when you crack the throttle from 0%, lots of snap in the low RPMS.

but in general, there are of course helmets that are comfortable to wear glasses in. i wear sunglasses under mine all the time.

As for your question, take the MSF course, small amount of money and very worth it for the learning experience. Upon completion of the MSF you'll get a thing to waive the on-bike test at the DMV, and the DMV written test is ez.

The KTM is a better bike but I don't know if I'd slate it as comfortable. Every dual sport needs a seat and possibly bars to be comfy. Plus the 690E vibes are shit.

60 hp probably not ideal for a first dual sport either.

the kawisaki versys is the girl who's maybe a couple pounds over what's healthy. she's let herself go a little bit and been burned in the past, so she's a little cautious reaching out for new experiences in life. she's not the most beautiful girl in the world, but she's got it where it counts. her nurturing instinct is strong and she warmly extends it unconditionally to those she cares about. the versys isn't the kind of girl who's going to go out to the club, get shitfaced, and cuck you with tyrone. she's just not like that -- she's quiet, and prefers to spend some nice, one-on-one time alone with the person she cares about. she's not going to go into fits of histrionics if she gets mad. she's calm and rational, always more interested in talking it out than fighting. she's honest, and she cares.

I don't know what it is with /dbt/ saying 650 dual sport's are fine on the highway, I took my DR650 on the highway a few times and it was terrible. I was either bouncing off the limiter or in the right lane getting passed by semi's every 10 seconds and the blast of wind was like someone trying to push me off the bike. I had a death grip on the handlebars the whole time because every bump sent the front end wobbling like crazy. and that was without any cargo. Maybe it's just just the combination of high speed traffic and shitty roads around Chicago, but I wouldn't recommend taking a dual sport on the highway unless you absolutely have to.

Either the plate, or I'll use my welder and some sheet metal to fabricate a mount and bolt it down to two holes that are underneath the tail of my bike for no apparent reason. On the top yoke. I'll use a heat gun to take off that cellphone mount since I never use it. It was just there and I never really bothered with it.

Whole screen is waterproof so I don't have to worry about that.

Good question.
I would say a gopro.

Their dynamic range is much better.

Please refrain from dodging and burning so heavily.
Instead of using brushes use gradient overlays.

It looks much more natural.

Your stuff looks bish league with all that aura going on around your bike and objects.

Look up youtube videos about colour correction, especially cinematic stuff.
