So I went to go out to my bike to ride to work yesterday and I found it on its left side. Damage is pretty substantial. Frame slider completely bent in, fairing around frame slider busted, shifter bent in, clutch lever really bent, though somehow the mirror is okay. I filed a police report even though there's nothing they can really do about it.
I'm pretty bummed out because even though I have full coverage on the bike (Ninja 300), my deductible is $1000 and that's gonna set me back a lot. I park it outside because it's not a very expensive supersport like a Panigale or 1000rr, R1, etc and I don't have a garage available for it.
I'm considering renting a supersport for a few days while it's getting fixed in the mean time for commuting/leisure purposes, but it's just a consideration at this point.

Native here, in San Antonio now. I don't miss the flatness, the traffic, the humidity, or the purposeful setting of speed limits 10mph lower than the natural flow of traffic on major arteries. I do miss the beauty of a lot of the suburbs. San Antonio is so brown when it hasn't recently rained, and Houston is so lush and green pretty much everywhere but Downtown and Westheimer.
