So /dbt/ does taking a chick for a ride count as a date?
Backstory:-
I asked out a chick at my college a few months back, she said she was busy. I assumed it was her letting me down gently.
On Friday, I bumped into her again, started chatting, she found out about my baiku, then invited herself for a ride.
Pic somewhat related. Its were I rode to yesterday, and likely the route I'll ride to with her pillion.

>replying to bait
>>14037378
Although anon is baiting, the retards who legit think that way live in a sheltered bubble of the upper class. Completely removed from any effect of mass immigration of those whose culture does not fit your own. They won't be impacted by increased taxes and costs in living in order to support them. They won't fear of violence in streets that were once perfectly safe. They won't see anything at all. But their warped sense of morality has been satisfied so they're happy =)
>>14037394
I don't hate Muslims. I just hate those who get a free ride off of welfare and those who don't respect our culture and laws. That also applies to native Europeans though.
So around 6 months ago I picked up a half-restored long-time-garaged plated '92 DR350. 3k miles, new pumper carb, new chain/sprockets/fork seals, but needed to be rewired and one of the side plastics replaced due to what looked like an electrical fire. Mainly affected the lights (the speedo, tach, and cluster indicators worked, but headlight and blinkers didnt). Stiff gear shift but starts with just a couple kicks (once I got the hang of it) and pulls hard with great throttle response from the pumper carb.
I'm finally getting around to finishing up the rewiring (bike came with a spare wiring harness the previous owner was gonna use) and everything seems to be working so far. Just waiting on a better tail light, some turn signals, and an air filter and the true shitbike will finally be ready to hit the streets, sidewalks, drainage ditches, and empty construction sites.
Total cost to me under $1.2k US and some fun times with wiring diagrams.
I'm gonna cover the bike's plastics in the tackiest stickers I can find.
>>14037390
Maybe you should sell every single possession you own and join the red cross, go to the middle east and help all the people you care about =)
>>14037425

Why should they? What automatically gives you the right to force your beliefs on them? How will you feel when there's a Muslim majority and suddenly your the one at risk of having your beliefs quashed? Show respect now if you ever want it in the future.

You know, the law also applies to refugees?
If you feel it isn't being upheld that is a fair complaint but is a seperate issue.
I too don't want a Rotherham in Germany.
I too would like strict policing and deportation of criminal refugees.
But when you say my opinion is a misplaced sense of morality I'll just respond with your opinion being a misplaced sense of nationalism.

Hi, is there a guide for cleaning/washing my bike? and basic maintenance like oil change/cleaning chain for my cbr250? I have been putting it off for a long time and want to get it over with Thanks
>>14038116
Grab a pressure washer and blast your bike
Then use some soup and squirt it all over her.
Then wash it off.
Done.
>>14038116
Dont use a pressure washer. It will fuck shit up.
Just wash the thing with a sponge or cloth
Thoughts?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmvuQ-UShns
>>14038116
Just do it. Its plastic and metal. Get a towel and some soapy water and wash the dirt off, then dry it and you're good.
Oil change is another topic, but you can always just look into a Manual if you have one, or just google where the oil change screws are.
You don't have to ask people about every problem you have.
Many can be solved by using your brain or google.

Its easier to get the dirt off with warm water and, aslong as you dont use boiling water, wont do any damage to plastic or metal.
Just dont put water into your exhaust or into your electrical parts and you wont do anything wrong.

>>14038204
No. There is always a ghetto way to do shit. Since you are tossing the filter, a common trick is to hammer a screwdriver through the filter, and that gives you leverage to get it out.
Don't be cheap, buy the fucking tool.

I cant remember that well but wasnt it realy just one screw to get the oil out? You dont need any tools besides that one screwdriver or so to get the Screw out.
>>14038320
yeah that's me. i'm trying to find a youtube video on how to do the oil change, but i can't fucking find shit. i guess the text tutorial in english will have to suffice
>>14038332
Just try it. Worstcase is you have to push it to a bikeshop but oilchanges are normaly the easiest part of maintenance.
Oh and btw you can just buy oilfilters from ATU or MTU or what you have down there.
Just compare them to your current one, f650 st doesnt need a specific one i think.
Also put some Newspaper or so under your Pot for the old oil. It sometimes splashes around.
>>14038355

Seriously, it's looking like I might use one of those two bikes when I grow old. Because there are so few bikes made to pound out hundreds of thousands of miles.
>>14039562
There is a Goldwing converted to a, as the seller no doubt invented, "Boldwing" on Craigslist somewhere. Also, the direct GW competitor is a Harley monstrosity. I think Yamaha and another Japanese vendor made a GW competitor in the 80s, but I'm not certain of their model names.

Gonna guess the clutch is missing. I remember when we started it we have to constantly give it gas. It would die if left to idle. If we gave it too much gas it would also flood the carb and sound "muddy" before dying. Gonna replace the sparkplug tomorrow.
>>14039910
Do you post these same pics in every thread?
>>14039845
I fucking hate faggots that wear the helmet.
>>14039929
Nope. Second time posting these. I'm bored
>>14039900
based on the jug size it looks like a RM80 or smaller. likely from the mid-late 80's
>>14039967

>>14039964
Sweet opinion bruh

>>14039981
nice trash bag
My bike likes to slip into neutral when I'm starting to take off from a stop and begin to shift.
Is this a tranny problem? I'm shifting firmly but maybe the RPMs aren't high enough at tis low of a gear.
>>14040012
It's a rain cover for my tank bag but I did notice that it looked like a trash bag
>>14039981
Is that a Bilt Explorer helmet I spy?
>>14040034
yeah brah, shit helmet for a shitbike amirite
>>14040048
Eh it's lots of helmet for the price.
>>14039981
Off road all weather rider, yeee haaa!!!
Seriously though nice bike. Congratulations on your first boring webm.
>>14040055
I'll admit I'm pretty happy with it, except that it fogs up like a mad cunt if you're going any slower than like 35 mph
>>14040064
Thanks man, it was fucking horrible riding without any rain gear. I only went like 24 minutes from my place to my girlfriend's dorm and showed up soaking wet and I was shivering like a leaf. I think my next gear purchase is gonna be a rain coat and pants.
>>14040068
Yeah no real way to fix that unfortunately.
Pinlock on my Shoei is nice for that but has some reflections when riding at night. Always a compromise it seems.
>>14040098
My solution for now is to just flip the visor up when I'm stopped, and when I get to speed I close it down again. Works for now, until I get a better helmet. I might just end up getting some MX goggles and a balaclava and call it good for cold/wet weather riding
>>14039731
Ayyyy xt225 anon put it on
I'm getting hyped just watching your progress. Great bikes
>>14039845
Sup indianon what about eyepro? Goggles?
cause fuck bugs, shit feels like little pebbles hitting you and rattling a can full of rocks with your head in said can
>>14040082
I will heavily recommend the Bilt Explorer suit. Lots of miles on mine, always keeps me dry and warm, pretty cheap. Never crashed in it though, and the venting is iffy so if you have warm summers you will want a mesh jacket alongside it.
>>14040104
Two solutions for visor fogging.
One is to get a soap lather over the visor and rinse it off. Both sides for the the best effect.
Another is to get several pieces of tape and use that to create a small gap for your visor. This was used by the guys riding the TT until science solved the problem.
>tfw 60 but rain.
Fuck.
>>14039981
Hey, at least your first .webm wasn't of you popping a wheelie to far and dumping the bike :)
>>14040147
Nah, I did that when I first bought the thing but I managed to put it back on 2 wheels. When I bought the bike, it wouldn't hold an idle. So when I went to test ride it, I was so focused on giving it enough throttle to stay alive that I just popped the clutch without thinking and I did a complete 90 degree "oh shit" wheelie in front of the seller down the road.
>mfw he nervously asked me if I'd ever ridden a motorcycle before
>>14040123
i like your pants.
First bike, y/n?
Has 3100 miles and runs well.
>>14040185

Guys I'm looking at picking up a barn find Honda to restore, pretty sure its a C200. Anyone have any experience with these bikes? Pic related.

a 300 for that much their is DEFINITELY something wrong with it mechanically
>>14040198
What site is this?
>>14040220
cycletrader.com
>>14040198
Fuck no.
It was dropped in such a way that the fairing was fucked. The frame could be bent.
Tell him to get the safety first. Or have a mechanic look over it.
That cheap for a new Ninja 300 with missing fairings and mismatched tank sets off alarms in my brain.
>>14040214
Nah just needed it to wank to
>>14040233
When I go pick up a santa hat, I'll take a fresh pic just for you
>>14040235
Thanks
>>14040228
How much should a decent mechanic charge to look at a crashed bike and give me an estimate to fix shit?
Also how long'd that take?
>>14040098
>Pinlock on my Shoei is nice for that but has some reflections when riding at night
Weird, I've never had this issue. I'm using those Maxvision pinlocks on an Arai though.
>>14040147
>Hey, at least your first .webm wasn't of you popping a wheelie to far and dumping the bike
Here's my first.... half of that.... I've posted the video before but yeah. Unfortunately the best part of the video is gone without audio
>Me yelling Holy Shit!
>>14040239
they will laugh at you
>>14040239
Not him, but it's the sellers responsibility not yours. Let that bike go and look elsewhere anon.
>>14040239
Depends on the labor charge. Ask your local mechanic. Tell him you're new.
It could take 15 minutes or 3 hours.
For the love of god don't buy that Ninja unless it gets a blessing from the mechanic.
>>14040239
Honestly that ad is emitting so many red flags - if I was you I'd just keep looking. There are potentially a boatload of problems with that 300 and it's just not worth your money to pay a mechanic to look at it. And I'd say ~$60-80 is a price a mech would charge.
Don't get invested into that.
>>14040214
Still looking for an bike? What's your price limit
>>14040242
>>14040244
>>14040246
>>14040247
Whoops, sorry. I'm not the guy looking at that ninja. I'm asking for myself. If I rek my bike, how much would it take to have a mechanic look at it before something comes loose while riding and I RIP?
>>14040257
Aye. It depends. I'd say I'm willing to pay ~$1.8-2k tops. That's for a reliable bike which runs and holds street legality. Still need to buy jacket, boots, and proper pants.
Then I need to reserve another portion for rego, insurance, and other shit I need like tiedowns, mototote, and plenty tarps.
Sucks having nojob. But hopefully that'll change come the summer.
Why, what'sup?
>>14040111
I have shatter proof sunglasses for day, and clear ones I use at night. Same ones I use when I go shooting
>>14040285
Nice. Oakleys? I'm sure they'd look pretty cool with that helmet, but I'm a goofball and want that full eyepro so I've got two goggles
>>14040276
01ktm400exc street legal with stupid low miles. For 2100 sound decent? It's probably a ways away from you but if its in as good of shape as it seems it may be worth it

Don't have the time for another bike before winter
>>14040241
I've heard it's a common problem with pinlocks. It's not horrible, just slightly annoying.

>>14040295
Shit, that's crazy mint. I dig it. I'd say fuck it and offer him that $1.8. Although it's KTM I don't know how the maintenance would be. Sounds like it's been well taken care of its whole life. Mint as fuck, only thing I don't like is the lack of pillionpegs.
I'm not on the east coast, but will be in a week. That bike is about a 6-7 hour drive away from home and I still don't have the proper equipment to take it back unless I take off the tank and stuff it sideways in my truck.
Sure is one sick bike and the guy looks genuinely awesome. Not sure about that though, might not work for my current situation.
motopede is this you?
>>14040276
Ayyy you call ginseng guy again?
>>14040321
Yeah. I try to keep an eye out even if I'm not currently looking for a bike rn
I know it was a bit far. But it somewhat for your criteria. Almost being in price range and 400cc dualsport
>>14040294
Can't remember which brand at the moment, but not Oakley. Not a big fan of how those look
>>14040328
Believe it or not, when I got back from classes the guy pulled down all the fucking ads. I have no idea what the situation is with that.
I predict he'll put them all up again but I'm getting a little iffy about that one.
>>14040334
Thanks a bunch m8, much appreciated. Now if it came with a hitch carrier and tiedowns I'd be all for it.
But y'know, there are 400s out there with pillionpegs. I need them for reasons.
>>14040307
Yeah I've heard that too, a friend of mine used to complain about his pinlock refracting light at night. Can imagine that was annoying as fuck. My old helmet didn't seal properly as the pinlock was clearly an afterthought. Used to fog up through the middle.
>>14040294
>>14040342
I use some old RayBan Predators on the bike. Haven't taken many stones, but been using them for almost four years now. 30-40 hours of riding a week, 25-30 of those at work using an open face helmet with my visor up.
>tfw uniform policy makes me wear a Nolan N41

>>14040307
what route you taking back down?
>>14040344
Tell her to wrap her legs around your waist
It almost works
Sometimes
Took my first spill ( if I would even call it that) today on the motoped
Tried to turn around quick on a shit ton of leaves and lowsided it, but kind of just bounced right back up and kept going
Even the "wrecks ". On it aren't anything because of the weight
>>14040344
It's starting to seem kind of scam like
Hopefully you get a good deal on something soon
>>14040370
still to be determined, probably take the ferry from Haines to Prince Rupert then either mess around Canada for awhile or hit a couple US parks on the way back through the lower 48.
Also the upper leg should go through Coldfoot to Prudhoe Bay but the site said it couldn't find a route.
So, I rode a motorcycle for 5 miles today after not running it at all for two weeks.
It started unexpectedly quickly, and just went.
Google says it will snow in about an hour, and will keep snowing all next week. At least snowboarders can be happy.
I wonder if it's time to pull the battery and drain carburetors.
>>14040379
Ever ridden a CT110? Crashing one of those is hilarious usually. Just pick it up and keep going. Engine usually doesn't even stop because of the centrifugal clutch.
Think my old one weighed 182lbs wet.
>>14040379
lol I'm sure that'd look pretty fuckin funny like indian crosslegged on a bike.
Too bad I don't know any gymnastic wimmin
Oh man leaves are the spawn of satan, fuck that shit. Nice recovery though. I'm sure it's nimble as can be and easy to flick around.
>>14040391
Oh yeah, red flags are triggered in my head. Especially since he had a "buying" ad and was trying to offload a bunch of bikes.
However there are a fuckton of farmers out here and I wouldn't be surprised if they had lotsa bikes, but I don't think I want to keep pursuing that XR. I'll search for others.
>>14040393
the dalton highway will be an interesting stretch, but its a seasonal road which might explain the mapping issue.

It's a shame that xr guy is weird.
Someone almost talked me into a new husky 450, probably would have regretted that.
How was your weekend mang
>>14040427
Yeah man there are plenty other bikes in the market though. Something I'd like is bound to pop up.
>new husky 450
Oh, the places you'll go on that thing haha.
Idk if you'd regret that.
Funky weather here huh? Weekend was nice as can be. Goofed around with some friends, slept, explored, climbed some trees, and studied. How about you, solid weekend? So many great opportunities to night ride except for the rain and shitty ass fog.
>>14040405
My motoped is 135 ish lbs
And it doesn't stop either
>>14040406
Tried it once. Would not recommend
Almost offered a girl a ride today on the motoped, but no pegs, hot exhaust and one person seat don't add up
>>14040441
>the places I'd go
The amounts of time I'd drop it.
Pretty good weekend, got my wallet kind of stolen but ran after the guy so I still have my license and cards though but he took the cash. Other than that went out met a qt.
I wanted to night ride yesterday and today but this shit fog and rain
>>14040417
Yeah I think that's the only route there. The last 240 miles are dirt.
>>14040460
Oh yeah? Was it that reporter qt from the hatchery?
And adding >150lbs on a 135lb bike doesn't sound like a good idea...
>>14040468
Drop it, whatchu mean? They're meant to be dropped, they're droolsports
>got my wallet kind of stolen
the actual fuck?
RIP. How much cash did you have? I carry like $10 on my person but actually used to walk around with two wallets - an old one with a fuckton of zimbabwean money which was crisp as fuck and my legit wallet in a backpack hydration pouch. If someone jacked me I'd just give em the old one with the crisp bills and they'd think they made the jackpot...
storytime?
Yeah fuck the rain. If you had that husky it'd be no problemo though.
>>14040475
also 350+ miles between the last gas station and prudehoe bay.
so might want to invest in a couple rotopax cans too
Got 15k on my credit cards and wanna buy my first, don't have cash though so can't buy from private seller for cheap, what should I do? Want a ninja 250 but don't wanna pay fees and paperwork.
>>14040492
I'll have to verify that distance but I do plan on bringing a rotopax.
>>14040484
Lost like 880. Probably made that assholes day.
>Zimbabwean money
Do you have one of those hundred trillion dollar bills too?
I was drunk trying to get tacos and pulled out my wallet to pay and he shoved me grabbed it and ran so I ran after him shouting give me my wallet back. After a couple of blocks he dropped it but the cash was gone.
Then I went to get tacos.
>>14040484
Nah. It's my off season so I haven't been there in a while
Some girl from the highschool I graduated from a few years ago, I live pretty close so when school gets out I go for I ride and wave to all the kids and shit
And btap at all the grills
>>14040523
Jesus what the fuck why do you carry around 880? You may have been fuckin targeted due to drunkness.
Was he a dindu?
And nah, it's just a shitload of bills worth like $0.50. Don't carry it anymore, and I go for a minimalistic EDC.
Taco John's?
>>14040532
Fair enough. Lol. Careful about creeping on schools man.
But yeah I've been looking for KLX250s because they can be had for around $2k more or less and are relatively new, and parts are readily available.
They're no 400-650 but could prob get the job done.

Going into debt for your first motorcycle, or buying new for your first is also fucking dumb.
Buy used, trawl Craigslist, buy with cash. Get a cheap bike. About 1k-2k usd. Start saving.
Also anon, usury is a sin against god. To be in an usurous debt is also a sin.

I had a problem of some niggers who liked to graffiti my fence.
Used a slingshot with marbles to deter them. They still did it, so I ended up shitting and pissing in a bucket for a week. Waited on otherside of fence for them to come and tossed the bucket over the fence once they started painting. They never came back and fortunately they never retaliated.

Probably kids. But its still vandilisim

Am I a bad person for parking on the massive "sidewalk" area out in front of the local Walmart, between the two entrances, when I go? I'm not blocking anything, and there's no sign...
>>14040712
Yeah, it's still a ways out so there's still a chance that it'll have to get moved, but the most important part is done: spousal permission kek.
Plus it's a good excuse to spend money on the Tiger. Maybe we can try to do some riding on Vancouver Island or maybe Baja 2018. You can always try and join me for the end bit of the trip too but it's in your busy work time.
>>14040788
thats where i park too, saves spaces for cars in the lot and keeps the bike safe
>>14040788
I wouldn't park between the two entrances but maybe off to the side. Guess there isn't that much of a difference as far as people messing with it but right in the middle is kinda asking for attention (good or bad).
There was a guy that worked at best buy that used to park on the sidewalk right outside though.
>>14040723
We had a problem in this area where some teen was sitting on the side of the road with a high powered laser at night and shooting it through the windshield of cars. I live on a twisty mountain-pass-like road...
Was driving home and he pulled this shit on me as I was turning off. Changed directions and floored it driving straight at where the laser came from. Kid bailed into some bushes and I drove around for another twenty minutes or so yelling how I was going to cut their eyes out if I found him.
Funny enough they stopped doing it.
