it's a couple of things, certainly the body style is one of them, it's easier to show you then explain.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4snkUUolJ0

Stoner hangs off the bike as far as his arms will let him, then folds his body back into the bike when he hits the apex (otherwise he'd be running into the ground) then (here's the good bit) on corner exit chucks his body down and gets the body as upright as possible as soon as possible giving you superior drive out of a corner, he also stays fully 100% leaned off the bike until it's nearly vertical totally maximizing the drive.

the other thing is his unique looseness of sliding, there was sliding in 500GP but that was kind of like spinning it up on the exit, on the last 1/2 of the corner, stoner slides on the first 1/2 of the corner with BOTH the front and the rear wheel, with no opposite lock, it's simply stunning to observe, the bike slides on the entrance then settles for the drive OUT of the corner.

stoner's family weren't rich, luckily old kx80's and stuff are cheap and they raped, it just required a frankly ridiculous investment of time and effort from his parents, including selling everything in australia and moving to europe living out of a motorhome so stoner could race when the australian road racing series denied him entry.

It's an incredible sacrifice for something that's not guaranteed.

Exactly, you could be a better rider than someone in motoGP but you would still never have a chance of ever getting there unless you rode bikes as a kid.

Some guy from Victoria who bought a brand new Ninja 650, had it for not very long then crashed it because he chopped the throttle coming around a corner and span it into a kerb.

He got called out on it and proceeded to get all kinds of mad, flooding /dbt/ after /dbt/ with scat porn.

It's thought he unrestricted the bike, causing his insurance (if any) to be null and void and forcing him to pay out for repairs but he's never confirmed it so so knows.

He's been confirmed for still lurking, even called out on one occasion after posting old pics whilst pretending to be someone else.
>>

But aliexpress does not sell OEM parts, just aftermarket. I want original parts.
>>
>>13966572

See if you can get it through your dealership. Maybe you can save on shipping. Dealerships get parts deliveries so maybe it can hitch a ride on one of those trucks.

The only thing left for me to do is buy OEM parts online and get them shipped here. It's a pain in the ass to have a needy bike here.
It doesn't even help that my insurance won't pay anything and the fucking car insurance will pay enough to buy a fucking lightbulb.

Anyone has experience with those? I need to buy tyres for my twofiddy and can't get Sport Demons since no one stocks both tyres.
They offer me sport dragons but never heard of those before and references on the internet are scarce.
They're made in Brazil.

Can someone explain that track tire rear tread compound distribution?

It's like you have two compounds touching tarmac at once when leaned over.
>>
>>13966622
I have Michelin Road 2CT that I put in with 20k kilometers. I'm at 27k kilometers right now and I still can see the middle strip factory thingy on the front and rear, though I've worn the edges with the mountain runs.

I suppose the Pilot Street should give you at least the same amount of durability, so that's what I could consider senpai.
>>
>>13966635

I might try that but I'm running out of time. The closest stealership is in the next city, a 3 hour drive. And the last time I talked to them about parts, they were really unprofessional.
I need to get everything sorted out before Friday.

Maybe the best option will be to contract a freight forwarder but they'll rape me in the ass if the parts get delivered to them and they charge me the $500 to ship them here.
>>

>Where do you live?
Map related.

Making calls is pointless since they don't take you seriously. Same shit with emails. I tried contacting them last year, called them almost every day for two weeks to get a quote on the fairings and headlight. They never gave me a conclusive answer, just bullshit like "we got to import the parts, we can't know the price for sure, the price may vary, call later because the person in charge of that is not here, I don't know about your calls, you maybe contacted another employee".
They're so full of shit, I hate them.

I can order online inside my country but I'll be better buying another bike with the local prices. They charge $800 for the front fairing when it costs less than $300 online.

Oh, and I'm running out of time because I have to buy everything before the credit card closing deadline, I live in an economically unstable country and there's a devaluation coming next month. The little money I have can buy me enough parts to get my bike running now. Next month, half the parts.
>>
>>13966635
SV pleb where are you from?
>>
Sup /dbt/, I'm slowly reaching the lean limits on my bike and I was wondering if there is some signal/feedback when you're about to run out of tyre or if it's just something you need to blind check and eventually lowside?
>>
>>13966711
Post chicken strips?
Lean the bike over while stationary and if you can lean it past your chicken strips without anything touching the ground you can lean it further.
>>
>>13966718
This pic >>13966126

I doubt I can hold the bike leaned over and check tyres closely at once.
>>
>>13966711
I would say take a pole/broom/etc and lean it up against the tire. Keep pulling up on to it until it touches metal. Keep it in place via tape/person and sit on bike. look at pole and mark closeness in memory.
>>
>>13966711
Depends on what you're doing. Your knee or you pegs might touch the ground depending on your bike.

If you're mid corner and easy on the gas you can feel the front start to slip a bit. If you're on the gas on a corner you're likely to start to feel the rear slip out or start to jump all over the place.

The key to finding the limits is very small increments and a ton of practice. As you get close to the limit you'll start to understand what the bike is telling you.
>>
>>13966724
In that case do you feel confident enough to get it the bike sideways while leaning over like that?
losing grip and the arse end slightly is the warning side that you are about to low slide and you save it by giving it more throttle and turning the loss of grip into an advantage to get your RPM up coming out of a corner, if you are at that limit but a bit sketchy on going further i suggest you put some stack bars on the bike and take it around a tight roundabout to practice seen as you will only be doing maybe 25km/h if you come off.
>>
>>13966749

It's worth it for numerous reasons.
My Shoei RF1100 was $400 and I love it.

>>13967065
I'm partial towards the Shoei. It has more shell sizes which might mean a better fit for your noggin.
I like that it has the emergency removable feature.
Based on my experience the airflow should be good.
The only other feature difference is that the Schubert helmet has that Bluetooth shit integrated. But you still have to buy something to use it and most likely it's proprietary and won't play well with other systems.

I'd get the Shoei unless reading a shit ton of reviews told me otherwise.
If I wanted to get Bluetooth I'd get a Senna that I could easily transfer from helmet to helmet.
That inside visor is based.

I was telling you to get a HJC FG17. It has a better safetey rating than both and the same comfort rating as both, It is also just as light as the GT air.
