Power metal, as music itself, is pretty fucking alpha. Far more so than most musical genres. The songs are about glorious victory in battle, etc. and even if that battle is mythological, I don't think you would call Odysseus or Achilles beta males.

Power metal fans, are, however typically betas because they usually emulate none of heroic or violent behaviors in real life (except for the ones in the military) and are using the music as an outlet to compensate for what a sense of masculinity that is otherwise absent from their lives.
Personally, I use power metal (and the metal genre as a whole) as a way to get in touch with the primitive hyper-masculinity that, as a functioning member of a modern society, has no place my day to day life. It is an outlet that very un-apologetically taps into our shared subconscious desire to be the hero in our own violent meta-myths.

Not him, but Swede here. It's a pretty mixed bag. On one hand there's a lot of concerning things going on in society, with people in ghetto areas throwing stones at police with no repercussions, 8/10 police officers saying they're considering leaving their job, still no real sign of attempts to improve the absolutely horribly shit integration system combined with mass immigration. The grenade stuff in Malmö is pretty nuts too. Migrant centers are prone to having fights and the media has even given up on trying to blame it on right-wing extremists (it's just migrants from different countries fighting), notably one fight resulted in the death of a woman working at the centre. Even if exaggerated it feels like a lot of the Sweden yes memes have some merit at least. A personal example being my younger brother (19) went clubbing with friends and told me a bunch of random arab looking guys turn up and push their way into the club when everyone else is queuing, the guards to the club are also middle eastern looking and so they allow it, if you say something you'd get kicked out/accused of being racist.
On the other hand some things seem to be looking up. The media has started to actually talk about some of the issues that has come with the mass immigration, the gang violence, the fights between different MENA people at migrant centers, no-go zones (pictures of politicans walking through a 'no-go zone' with police escort even though they used to claim the places are safe.
Then again it hasn't really affected my life because I live out in the country and my closest neighbour is 3km away. You don't get any immigrants out here which is nice.

I'm very worried about that but it is a very active issue that is constantly argued about and around how to solve the problem. It's not just some thing that we're allowing to happen here, everyone is aware of the issue and the state is working actively to find a solution. Recently the police in and around Stockholm has gotten increased access to helicopters (i.e there's a fuckton of them constantly in the air now when you'd be lucky to see one just 2-3 years ago) to better be able to survey areas and pursue criminals for example. It's been getting progressively worse but the grenades and stone attacks are both things that started happening in recent years, again, democracy takes time. It takes time to solve issues like these.
The London issue I'm not very well read on, I know people who live there and they've said it's not nearly as big of an issue as it seems, it might just be them not really seeing to bigger picture though. Can only really hope the brits take action before it's far too late if what you say is true.
