THE WAY TO GO HOME
I'M TIRED AND I WANNA GO TO BED
Maaan you guys told me this was an actual good psych rock album, instead it's just competent garage rock. Not even really psychadelic at all, sounds like Ty Segall but without the hooks or variety that occasionally make his music worthwhile. I've always been more inclined towards melody than "RAWKIN OUT" though.
Anyone have suggestions for Actual good neopsych?
That album has hooks and melodies everywhere what are you talking about
>Not even really psychadelic at all, sounds like Ty Segall but without the hooks or variety
how to spot bait. King Gizzard is a phenomenal band, why don't you go listen to tame impala or miley & her dead petz, pleb.

It has lots of attempts at hooks, repeated sections of melody that they play with, but none of it really makes for organic natural melodies that work for me. I don't think the album is bad, mind you, just not to my taste and not terribly original. Also very samey.
I guess what I'm saying is that I don't really want to hear GUITAR ROCK MUSIC and i was prettier/weirder psychedelic music that actually sounds good and dreamy or anything...

What is Animal Collective's best song and why is Infant Dressing Table?
Protip: you can't
That one where it's really trippy and there's a lot of vocal harmonies n shit
It's actually Two Sails on a Sound followed by Fickle Cycle. Their best work was their live in 2002-2006
Fireworks I think, Loch Raven's up there too. Hard to pick though, my choices fluctuate pretty often with anco

OFF HIS ROCKER
If his new album isn't stunning he will fade into irrelevancy, hopefully it has less cringy edm bro festival tracks like dip.

Showed great potential after XXX but blew it by making a bunch of "trap influenced" bangers. I'm cautiously optimistic about his new one though. Could be good if he gets production from the avalanches and El-P like he talked about doing.

Explain why this album is so influential. I can hear that it influenced Tom Waits, no-wave and some post-punk bands but what did it do that was so groundbreaking?
heheh
i honestly prefer the rest of his discography. That album is really hard to get into
One of the first albums to push rock forward from its pop era to become the more artsy genre it is now. One of the first attempts to blend jazz, and specifically free jazz influences into rock music. A deconstruction of the genre and recreation of it under Beefheart's own terms and unique aesthetic. It influenced punk, post punk, new wave, alternative, almost everything.

ITT Recommendations for wooing women:
Building a playlist for a girl I like. Need some help /mu/, she wants songs with a Female Lead vocalist and a Male Background. HALP!!!! Anything is up for grabs as long as its soft or aggressive relative to the realm of soul, R&B and funk. that kinda stuff but all genres are go!
