Is collecting vinyl starting to be grouped as a hipster thing? I just picked up some and I'm worried il start wanting to be retarded
its been a hipster thing for at least 20 years

>hipster
only if ur a faggot
>>65786231
Nah, just don't bother with new music on vinyl because it's overpriced and the sound quality isn't always great. For cheaper phsyical formats go for CDs and cassettes
It's funny how everyone tries to pretend this isn't their best album
>>65786056
They're just millennials. Don't listen to them
Yeah, I don't know what's with this "The Bends is bad" meme, but it's a fantastic album and one of Radiohead's best.

its funny how everyone tries to pretend that Creep isnt their best song
I'm a music producer. I can make radio quality rap beats and edm.
I plan on providing a service in which me and the customer talk about what they want in their instrumental (style, mood, genre, etc.), then I'm paid a certain amount to create from scratch an instrumental for the customer to rap/sing over. No legal work is done, once I send it, the customer can copyright it themselves and keep all the rights to it without paying me royalty.
This idea is different from the industry standard as far as I know. Most producers simply make a batch of instrumentals...

Songs that pre-date a genre, but would fit right in line with that genre.

Sounds just like Hardcore Punk to my ears. The drums even sound like the D-Beat.

Caledonia sounds like industrial and black metal, in 1969.

Nice trip, nice shout. I forgot about that one.
I always thought this 1970 Yoko Ono song sounded like Trip Hop or something, especially from about 1:04 onwards

Eno had a few songs that sounded like later stuff:
Shoegaze with Here Come The Warm Jets:

IS THERE a word for the music that's been popular in the mainstream since like 2013 or so and won't FUCKING go away, ESPECIALLY in online advertising and TV commercials? You know what I'm talking about. That vaguely indie hipster sounding twee fucking garbage with the strum my acoustic guitars, glockenspiels and sometime some breathy baby-voiced woman with some kind of mental illness that allows her to sing only about whimsy and mean boyfriends? I can't put my finger on what this shit actually is called, but I demand that there be an explanation for this...

Who else agrees that the 60s/70s/80s was a kind of golden age of rock music?
I know I'm going to get a lot of people disagreeing with me. I can already tell from a quick skimming of the catalog that this board is heavily indie/alternative kind of stuff.
But can you really beat Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zep, AC/DC, Mamas and the Papas, The Byrds, the Doors, The Moody Blues and so much more?
There's a kind of musical genius from those old so called "classic rock" days that barely exists anymore. I'm really disappointed...
