CDs coming soon..... Also looking for black metal promoters/distributors
Hey /mu/tants. Apologies for the last message I left about leaving music and this board. Depression had taken a serious toll on me, but being able to process some stuff, I'm now back. I will be getting help soon.
I will in fact be breaking from recording my own solo material. I have a lot on my plate so to speak. I will be collaborating and producing with others, and I'll be trying to do some live shows and open mics for anyone in the Houston area interested, but the idea of solo material will be put off to the side for now.
I also want to help musicians...

So what happened to this guy? He literally hasn't produced a hit since 2014 and sort of fell of the grid. Is he done with rap or has Drake just completely replaced him?
>>65796634
he produced nothing but hits from 2006-2012 then passed the torch to drake
his work here is done
He had a seizure recently so he's still up to stuff

The only actually smart and talented one is Lopatin.
Personally I also believe he was granted the gift of prophecy by God, but that's a bit more controversial
>>65796185
who are they? I know Oneohtrix and Lotus but the others
He would have been 68 today. Let's have a thread for him. Just discuss his music and whatnot.
Pink Moon got me through some times. He couldn't cope with existence, but at least he made art that helped others cope.
Bumping with some of my favorite home recordings of his

It's so cool how he kind of... perfectly captured his emotions and his situation in Pink Moon before he died. It feels so personal, like not all of him had to die. there's that part that will just keep going.
Maybe if I wear special clothes and present an image of black mystique nobody will notice that my playing is laughable.
>>65795845
Of course anon. Why do you think hip hop loving teenagers on an image board would care how good someone can play or how creative or original their music is? The only important thing is image.
/thread
I wouldn't call his playing laughable, but I really cannot think of one innovative aspect of the epic. It's completely forgettable outside of a few good grooves
What went so right?
True Love Waits definitely didn't. The other version 16 years ago sounded so much better than the studio. It's like it sounded more depressing.
It's like a sadder, dreamier IR. I personally like the more textural approach this album takes, as well as the stronger emphasis on string sections. It's pretty good.
>>65795812
Probably because it is more depressing. There seem to be little bits here and there possibly about Thom feeling worse about his break-up than he let on, and TLW seems to be one of those moments. It's a somber take on the song, very Videotape-esque.

nothing
