I think if an album still holds up long after its genre lost popularity, then it should be considered a classic.
I'm not fully convinced Hybrid Theory fits that, but I'd argue that Meteora does.

What do you think of the new album? I personally love it. Even though Heartthrob felt like a misstep to me, and this is mostly the same style, it works so much better here.
