What colour are you?
I don't know why the maker never added Acousmatic composition, Berlin School, EAI, Kosmische, Musique concrete, Onkyo, turntable music, tape music or Wandelweiser, call them 'brown'.
>>51586684
Jesus Christ stop trying so fucking hard. It's clear from your namedropping of 'Wandelweisser' that you don't understand the lineage of that music.
You're a piece of shit and I want you to take a moment to reflect on that.

this worked one time for me, didn't specifically pick it, was just on my current phone playlist at the time
>guy i went to high school with
>his two favorite bands are nirvana and the doors, so not horrible
>says he needs three elements to consider a band good
>creepy lyrics
>good guitar
>good frontman
>surewhatever.jpg
>he hates 80's music
>especially billy joel
>he claimed that nirvana's first ever song was titled "i hate billy joel"
>he is also a compulsive liar
>says that radiohead are horrible
>used karma police as evidence of this
>instead cites bush as "the only good british band of that era"
>says that the song turning japanese is about "a guy who just got out of jail, so he buys a lottery ticket. Then when he gets him he starts jacking off, and they call his lottery numbers on tv, but he's too busy jacking off to notice. He didn't find out he won until like ten minutes later, so he couldn't get the riches."
>where the fuck did he get this interpretation
>one of us calls him out
>says something like "if you won the lottery, and didn't find out until ten minutes later, you'd still get the money"
>he pauses and then says "no, i said ten years later"
Cont.
>one day in english class our teacher gives us a project
>do a presentation on whatever you like, as long as it's american
>guess he had just given up for the rest of the year
>nirvana kid decides to make a presentation about the 90s and its music
>says he intends to play songs by nirvana, pearl jam, sublime, and beck
>his big day finally comes
>opens powerpoint
>presentation starts with nirvana
>talks about nothing but nirvana for a good 45 minutes
>highlight is when he says that all rock music was punk before nirvana
>and all punk was was just gg allin rubbing feces all over himself
>points at teacher and says "you know what i'm talking about"
>bad time to say that
>eventually the teacher makes him stop talking about nirvana
>only has time to play one sublime song before the teacher cuts him off completely
>didn't even play smells like teen spirit
>in a presentation on the 90s
Got any stories about people with inaccurate views of music history?

>Only likes feel good shit
>More pleb than the top 40 warriors in a way
>Show him tons of music - Squarepusher, 808 State, Luke Vibert
>"what is this hipster shit?"
>Think he might like Feed Me
>"no"
>Show him Mac Demarco randomly
>He literally only plays Mac Demarco everysingle day (plays 2 and Salad Days religiously)
>I's been about 3 months since I introduced him to Mac
>He said to me a while ago "I never thought I'd be a hipster"
>He's a complete fucking retard incase you're not convinced but he's good company

Giuliano Sorgini – Zoo Folle (1974)
--“Zoo Folle is the soundtrack to a television series that came out in the early 1970′s about zoo animals. What you have are lush arrangements combined with spacey synth chords and tightly knitted drums. He even uses drum machine programming as a backing to play congas over. The song Mad Town has a very grimy feel to it, that is very reminiscent to a hip hop track that would be made today. “Slaves” opens up with a nice drum break that combines flute and strings to deliver the rest of the track. Honestly, I can’t recommend this record enough!” One of those albums that only gets better the more you listen to it.

Nocturnal Breed – Fields of Rot (2007)
--“Holy fucking shit, this maniacal piece of work has destroyed my house, defecated on my car, and torn me a new asshole! Nocturnal Breed play a very fast style of thrash metal with vocals that fall into the more "black" side of things - except Kenneth Svartalv is far better than most black metal vocalists; more on that later - and this is their fourth full length album, and it completely smokes.” The best album by the best blackened thrash band.

Paternoster – Paternoster (1972)
--“Paternoster is a one-shot band from Austria that brought a gloomy type of psychedelic kraut-organ rock that was far ahead of its time. At least so when it comes to the mood and plaintive vocal style. In a way it announces the Weltschmerz of Joy Division, or early Christian Death or other Gothic acts that managed to avoid over-excessive pathos. It's pretty much disconnected from anything from its own era, only the eerie vocals of Ozzy come close.” Amazing album, a prog take on goth from ten years before goth was invented.

--The best of the great Northern Ireland power-pop scene, and the best power-pop album of all time. Recorded in 1980 but only issued in 2010. So good!

Alright, /mu/ - Music
I am an an assassin for a secret agency that controls and manipulates the US culture output.
The agency has decided that the 4 targets in the attached picture are musical geniuses and have a high probability of releasing a groundbreaking work of art at the same time in the near future that will be of great importance to USA culture and will be studied at universities and regarded as a part of the western canon.
Usually, there aren't more than 2 artistic geniuses with a chance of creating a great work at the same time, and our agency usually disposes of one to have better control over the arts.
Now i have to dispose of 3 people, leaving only one musical genius. You choose which one to keep.
(the agency gave me orders to post on this site, i will not reveal additional details about the operation)
The names of the targets are as follows, from left to right:
Ariel Pink, John Maus, Daniel Lopatin and James Ferraro
Thank you for your cooperation.
