Considering picking up the vinyl format of pic related
Am I falling for the meme yet again?
>>66040795
Isn't that 300 dollars
>>66040852
Yeah
Please save me from falling for the meme
It got repressed last year, it's $20-$25 now
It's pretty good material
Albums you are consistently drawn back to, and why.
>Pic related
>Nostalgia, several amazing songs, and a terrific album to listen to while getting hammered
>>66040787
I'll also venture this offering
>This album provided a huge foundation for modern bands like Fleet Foxes. The songwriting and harmonies are second to none.
A different part of this album pops into my head weekly. Today it was
> you're pink, you're young, you're middle class, they say it doesn't matter
Infectious songwriting
>>66040843
Agreed, anon. This album, as well as Alligator and High Violet, provided a soundtrack for my life for most of the 00's.
ITT Overrated and overhyped albums
I love Talking Heads, but I could never get into this album save for Once In a Lifetime
>>66040713
idk what you're talking about because i haven't seen that album mentioned since the week it came out, definitely not overhyped

Are there any bands that combine emo with slowcore? It seems like a match made in heaven, but I never see it. The only examples I can think of is Karate's s/t, some of Endserenading, and maybe some Lowercase
>emo
>slowcore
>any genre that ends in core
>>66040698
/mu/-core
>>66040698
>he doesn't like emo
>he doesn't like slowcore
>he doesn't like hardcore
>he doesn't like post-hardcore
Have they done anything as good as or close to as good as pic related? I just listened to it for the first time and I really enjoyed it
( ) and Takk are as good as it.
All their others are also worth hearing, and even Von, which everyone considers their worst album, has some good songs on it, like Myrkur
>>66040705
Thanks, whats your favorite song? Staralfur has been really growing on me, but then again i haven't heard much from em
( ) and Takk are just as impressive but to me Agaetis byrjun is their most inspired work, and sounds the least like generic post rock. Von is like a demo version of Agaetis byrjun; it's a "good ideas but bad execution" type of album
Svefn-g-englar is w/o a doubt one of my favorite songs ever
>>66040659
What's wrong with this album?
You hear it you lose.
>i put this moment
>OVER HERE
HEY MAN
>I went down, down, down
>And the flames went higher
MY PAL THE TORTOISE HOW FAST DOES HE GO

I never liked them at first but there starting to grow on me is that normal? Does it take a few listens to properly get into them? they kinda remind of DEVO
Maybe, which album did you start with?
>>66040387
Painting with

It took me a couple listens to get into AnCo
Going camping soon
What is some good music for this?
>>66040352

When you're three tracks in and not feeling it and considering shutting it off but you power through and it just gets worse.
Easily the most dreary, dull, and straight up boring /mu/core I've listened to.
The Wedding Present - Seamonsters
I tried hard to like it but jesus christ it was bland.
There are definitely strong moments here but there is nowhere near enough payoff to justify its length.
I feel as though I've a wealth to say pertaining to music, certainly much that would serve to alleviate normies' crippling retardation within the medium, but they never take an interest in me and ask for my opinion.
How can I force normies to take an interest in my opinions concerning the various regions of music.
carry your records with you whenever you go out

I want a feasible solution, not some dumb meme that you thought would be witty to share amongst the Internet.

make a facebook account and instead of posting food or animal videos, just post your lame music and quote mc ride "I FUCK THE MUSIC I MAKE IT CUM...."
