>i call albums "records"
>>60386595
It's a more apt title. Albums are pieces of plastic. Records are just "recordings".
it happens
I call them dancey prancey talking cylinders.
Who else likes The Caretaker\Leynard and alias works?
I can't be the only one, god damn it.

...Why?
This album makes me extremely uncomfortable for some reason
It's so eerie, like I'm in some sort of nightmare where I'm in my house and the clocks say 2pm but it's completely dark outside. The dimensions of all the rooms are slightly off and there's a slight breeze inside where there shouldn't be, and I'm fairly certain I hear something skittering around in the basement

does anyone here use a drum machine? I've been thinking about getting one to practice with. Are there software substitutes that are just as good that i could download somewhere? Would prefer a drum machine that allows me to drastically alter the tone of the drums. Does anyone have any recs?
hydrogen

thx <3
On a side note, is it possible for me to run hydrogen on my laptop and out the same cabinet that im playing my instrument through? or would i need a separate speaker? (yes i am pretty new to this stuff)

Do you need to play live? If you don't just use samples.
Are there any female pop-rock singers or bands from the 60s?
Most of the female stuff from that time was Traditional pop, or R&B, like Aretha Franklin. I'm looking for something that sounds more like The Beatles or The Beach Boys, but with a chick in the lead.

Has being a music elitist ever ruined potential relationships for you?
No because I'm not autistic.
I'm not a music elitist, thankfully. I fucking love something in pretty much every style of music, from deathcore to dance music, to hip-hop, to powe violence to folk.
There are no potential relationships with plebs

Hey /mu/
What's the coziest song you know? Could be one that evokes nostalgia or just one that you fall asleep to.
My go to sleep anthem is this rn
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kjjKAaIB5s
Animal Collective - Street Flash
Mercury Rev - Blue & Black
Joanna Newsom - Emily
Bjork - All Neon Like
John Ludington - The Crew
Anything by Debussy really, but especially Reflets dans l'eau.
I personally feel like Close to the Edge by Yes is cozy, especially around this time of year, just after sunset, with the lights off.

Grouper is GOAT sleepcore
Boards of Canada- Chromakey Dreamcoat
It's the song that's getting me into BoC because I didn't like Geoggadi when I first heard it

Is Rock Dead?
According to google trends: it's actually the only musical genre to even come close to match rap in popularity, even though it's seen a bit of a decline in the last 5 years. So no, it just ain't leading the way any more.
