Can someone explain to me how rap has sort of invaded the mentality of everyone in this day and age? I'm not in high school anymore, I'm like 21. I still encounter the same problem though. I think it's the chicken and the egg dilemma. I still hear people that have that sort of hip hop accent, in people of all ethnicities. The problem is that I have never liked hip hop and I have always felt like the people who have this accent and seem drawn to hip hop music always seem to be sort of insufferable. They don't share the same values and I feel disenfranchised from a lot of my peers that I've grown up with. I don't really know how else to put it but, I've grown to hate these hip hop people.

I dunno man I bought these PreSonus Eris E5s and they're kinda dope as hell. I'm new to this stuff though. Like they're entry-level monitors right? Shit, how good can things sound? We need a music general board. There's just too many generals on here at the moment that don't get the attention they deserve. Smaller generals like /drone/ and sometimes /noise/ just get pushed off the board too fast before the threads can gain any kind of traction. It would also give a more permanent home to more prominent generals like /metal/ and /kpop/. Threads like these are also bumped so much they're almost always on the front page. Having a /mu/ general board would do nothing but good here. I've tossed the idea around in a few threads and other anons seem to be up for it. So now the question lies, how do we get this made?
