>tfw your dad just got you a £250 ($380) ticket in the VIP stalls at the Royal Albert Hall to see David Gilmour
>grew out of Pink Floyd about 5 years ago and don't think much of his solo work except On an Island
Mixed feels.
Any of you guys been to an expensive dadrock show like the Chinese Democracy ones?
>>60809686
I've seen David Gilmour in the Royal Albert hall.
Paid my own ticket and it was worth all of it.
Don't like his solo work all that much but the older stuff he played was just amazing to hear live.
>>60809686
Will still be a great experience who gives a shit you ungrateful little bastard
>>60809810
Did you see the On an Island tour like me?
Which night, the David Bowie one, the Nick Mason one, or the other where I can't remember the guest? I went to the Mason one so technically saw Pink Floyd for 12 minutes.
>Don't like his solo work all that much but the older stuff he played was just amazing to hear live.
Yeah, all 20 or so minutes of Echoes was brilliant. And actually High Hopes live, he played it a bit heavier than the original, that sticks in the mind too.
>Guitarist Ed O'Brien had hoped Radiohead's fourth album would comprise "snappy", melodic guitar songs, but Yorke stated: "There was no chance of the album sounding like that. I'd completely had it with melody. I just wanted rhythm. All melodies to me were pure embarrassment."
We almost had an entire album of songs like Just, 15 Step, and Knives Out.

I know obviously this is by far nowhere near the low point of his vocal quality and abilities, but just the sheer amount of decline in that short span of time is really fucking mind boggling.
it never was good

Are you the same guy who was posting this everyday a month or two ago?
Stop.

What's your favorite Pavement album? Mine is probably Wowee Zowee, but I feel like Terror Twilight doesn't get enough love
Wowee Zowee is their best album, but nothing beats pic related
yeah wowee zowee is definitely my favorite too. motion suggests itself into father to a sister of thought is probably my favorite moment on the album but there are a lot of incredible songs on their with a lot of variety.
also the b-sides during this era are some of my favorite pavement b-sides ever. kris kraft, brink of the clouds, mussle rock, give it a day and stray fire are all awesome.
brighten the corners b-sides are also fucking great
>>60809331
yeah motion suggests itself is probably my favorite pavement song. i don't know when that happened, but at some point it became my most listened to song
