Thriller is the greatest album of all time and only a hipster contrarian (i.e. /mu/) would be a dissension with this statement as Thriller has fantastic production, incredible vocals, is extremely accessible, and has God-tier replay value.
Close. But it's actually Bad. Thriler and Dangerous are close seconds, though.

>fantastic production
all production on any music pre 2010 is shit tier
Beat It is kind of lame though. That song did not age well.
Also there's the McCartney song.

he got too much pussy to have time to draw squiggles.
Thoughts on this band, and more specifically this album.
its probably the only album from this era that i think /mu/ likes if you dont count interpol
>>61068023
This band's here and there. I love this album so much (So Here We Are gives me the feels) but I don't understand why they fucking went electronic. This is their only SOLID album. They're such talented musicians I dunno why they put down their guitars. I'm worried about HYMNS.
>>61068023
Admittedly don't listen to much of them but it's a solid 9/10 album
Been seeing a lot of Nirvana posts as of late. I feel like their B-sides are their best work.
i agree, it all seems much less forced than their studio albums (not so much bleach, but definitely nevermind and 3/4 of in utero)
In Utero is their best, non debatable
>>61068723
OP here. I will agree with you that of the 3 albums, In Utero is superior. It was a middle finger to the people who wanted another plain grungy album. Not to mention, it has more emotion than Nevermind.
All I perceive is wasted and broken
Silvery streams, sacred when spoken
Slam into me and into the ditch of debris
>>61067846
And you smoke in the park, you sleep in the greenery
Everyone barks and they are all still believing
To tear out your heart would send all your secrets to me
>>61067854
But I let you down
Swollen and small is where you'll find me now
With that silver stripping off
From my tongue you're tearing out
And you'll never hear me talk
>>61067904
Your teeth believe that teeth are for tearing
Tear into me, the scent of you sweating smells good to me
As long as we keep in our clothes
Yo everytime I listen to this album it gets better.
Well I trancend existence on my 512th listen?
don't be ridiculous
It's going to break your heart in two
Yeth itth truuuue

I've been using maschine and have come to the point where I can't finish a song. I have lots of ideas but I cannot get over how hard it is to create independent scenes in my daw. Im thinking of switching to ableton or logic because of this. Any advice?

what do you have against FL? It's arguably the simplest and most straightforward DAW option
Pic related. It's simple, yet bold and iconic. There's a reason it's on a bunch of shirts. What are some others?
Hey is there anybody here who knows theory well? I'm just having a hard time with borrowed chords. i understand using chords from a parallel minor. so trying to exercise this i decided to pick a song i thought does this but i ended up more perplexed. the song is inmates by the good life.
it uses Dmaj Bbmin Bmaj Amaj and G. I've been trying to figure out what key its in/ what chords are being borrowed as well. any help would be great. also if not just a gear thread? this is my Mustang.
shameless self bump!
sounds like it's Dmaj, Bbmaj (which would be the borrowed chord), Bmin, Amaj, Gmaj
it's in D. Everything other than the Bbmaj is in the key area
>>61067598 cont
the sound of the "borrowed" chord is the sound of the modulation in the very beginning, the very first chord change
>tfw kanye didn't drop
fuck /mu/ had me hyped for a year
>tfw weezy didn't drop tha carter 5

Are there any albums with "sick beats" like from this track? And yes I know it's just a videogame but I need more of this.
