I think people who are educated in music history and theory should be the only ones allowed to review music but apparently that's not allowed and anyone can have whatever opinion of an album and it's okay because it's subjective and shit.

Yo /mu/tants. So I'm in highschool as a senior (18) and our school does a big musical each year and they're doing the little mermaid this time and I want to play electric bass for it. The bass book has parts where you switch from acoustic to electric but someone else will be playing acoustic. I haven't really learned to read music for electric until last week, and we have a whole week break off until first music rehearsal. My question is, how easy will it be to learn the music? I looked over it and its not that hard. But I just want to be ready ad much ad possible. What is a good way to improve faster?

i like hard progressive house tracks that show up on Hardwell or Tiesto's weekly mixtapes but dont necessarily want the vocals
i know the traditional instrumental genre is trance and its variant sub genres but those are too repetative and annoying, i like the various break downs an drops an stuff
before you just spew off genres, another key aspect is, it has to create a separate list of stuff on spotify, so im assuming its going to need atleast 2 words to define it
