A Melodica and a D.V mark Dv Jazz 12 Combo amp
I'd like to dismiss this post as cringy, entry-level pleb-tier hipster garbo. But in actually I'm really jealous cause all I got for christmas was 20 dollars and a onesie with marijuana leaves on it. I don't smoke.
You know what to do, discuss punk in general. Discuss releases of 2015. Hook homies up with recs.
I swear, if this album was even discussed on here when it came out, I must've been taking a shit. Thought y'all liked edgy ska.
>>61279390
I like all previous chocking victim and leftover crack albums, but this eh

>like she ever had a career
>>61276922
its almost as though the universe doesn't give a shit about you
how is that cringe? thats an objective statement. just because you dont like keshas music doesnt mean she wasnt a huge pop star at one point.
>>61276996
yeah right dress a whore with provocative clothes and make her scream. Then fix her voice with autotune and boom here's your your new revolutionary popstar. I mean come on... She didnt lost her career because of that.
>responsibilities cool but there's more things in life like getting your dick rode all fucking night
damn...
That's actually a great verse though, Death Grips has an underrated sense of humor

/mu/, how do you get someone to have better taste in music and a better palate for sound in general?
I love my boyfriend to death, but his taste is just so bad. We take turns on who gets to listen to music in the car/other situations and it drives me insane. He listens to artists that aren't known and have no notoriety. That isn't necessarily a bad thing all the time, but there's a reason most unknown artists are largely unknown. Going through his mp3 player, most of the groups are:
> Hammock
> Secede (Literally his fucking favorite holy shit it's terrible.)
> Shpongle
> Younger Brother
> Ott
> Ozric Tentacles
> Asura
> Sundial Aeon
> Vibrasphere
> Solar Fields
> Emancipator
> Koan
> Stellardrone
> Tycho
> Cygna
> Lemaitre
> Carbon Based Lifeforms
> Aphex Twin
> Bassnectar
> The Mollusk
> Unlimited Gravity
> Maybeshewill
> Cryptex
> Celldweller
> Jethro Tull
> Rush
> Alpha Data
> Gladkill
> Lemaitre
> Passion Pit
> The End Of The Ocean
> This Will Destroy You
> Frames
> Something labeled EitS
> ATB
> Plini
> Sithu Aye
> Liquid Stranger.
> And lastly, a shit load of classical music, mostly Dvorak, who I'd never heard of before, but sounds like a Slavic funeral procession.
This is really the tip of the iceberg, and I stopped because it was getting too long, but it's all like this. A shitload of terrible music from people you've never heard of. I've tried to get him to pick up good music through exposure. Asking him what he thinks of a song, or taking him to concerts, but it never sticks. He might, maybe, pick up a single song here or there, but no major shifts.
He uses on-board audio on his computer instead of a dedicated card. His headset and earbuds are a shitty Chinese brand. Yet he acts like he knows music and has decent/ok taste.
His music is like Valium for the soul. It's all essentially glorified elevator music. Every time it's his turn to play music I just want to die.
How can I improve his taste /mu/? Pic related. His Desktop Wallpaper.

Liquid Stranger is really good, the rest is forgettable festival music and pseudo-intellectual masturbation.
>>61276554
>womeme detected
Give him a crash course on Scaruffi's top albums and the plebe will slowly drain away
>>61276595
What kills me is how much forgettable shit he has. Like, he has easily 100+ gigs of music. Just why.
I'm on acid coming home after boxing day shopping.

So once in awhile I see a thread that asks if there's any good country music out there.
I'd like to help by showing you some
alt-country albums that I enjoy.
Alt-country includes americana, as well musicians that combine country with elements of indie rock, gothic rock, or slowcore into their music.
This chart has four different styles of alt-country.
Row one is the bands that were innovators of the genre. If you want to exclude 60's artists like Townes Van Danzt, Uncle Tupelo's No Depression really started alt-country in 1990.
Row two are gothic country albums, which combines country music with gothic rock to create music that can have energy while being dark and depressive.
Row three are some singer-songwriters. People like Jason Molina and Will Oldham are busy bees with lots of projects and collaborations worth checking out.
For row four, I wanted to put some recent alt-country releases, all within the last five years. All of these albums are emotionally touching, and musically expand the genre into different directions
If you have any suggestions for this chart I'd love to hear them.
I chose to leave out Uncle Tupelo side projects like Wilco and Son Volt, as well Ryan Adams of Whiskeytown's solo stuff, but they're all worth checking out too.
I know there's some meme about Swans being country because of Michael Gira's hat, but I think My Father Will Guide Me Up a Rope To the Sky could be considered alt-country
>>61276382
Some people consider the Angels of Light to be gothic country, which is a Swans side project. "How I Loved You" is a great album imo.
>>61276364
even though there's a 16HP album, i'd consider adding a Wovenhand album to the second row - they're different enough
i'd also include a SMOKE album, maybe in the singer-songwriter row
and maybe Lambchop - How I Quit Smoking for the first row
