How is it possible for one hip-hop act to be SOOO underrated??
Fantano never reviewed them and they don't even have a wikipedia page, yet their production is so next-level and experimental and genre-bending, and the rapping is great too.

They have a Wikipedia page. Also they're pretty well known in the Alt Underground rap scene. Atmosphere and Rhymesayers have tweeted about them before.

I'm lonely, a bit drunk, and have a shitty studio to myself, feel like making an album tonight as a little bit of a challenge to myself and also, hey, to give back to the community, you know? I'm a multi-instrumentalist, and in the studio with my right now I have an electronic drum-set, a guitar, a shit-ton of effects pedals, a bass, and an old casio keyboard from the 80s. You guys decide song names/themes. Are you feeling feelsy? gimme a song-title that fits into what you're going through, and I'll write some lyrics and some musak that'll fit. I write mostly psychedelic rock, kinda in between tame impala and mac demarco. I'm not gonna be a faggot and do "rolls" for shit, if you gimme a good or funny or neat or sad idea, I'll work with it, upload it, and you'll have your song.

Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success. The Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that the Beatles did anything worthy of being saved.
