What does /mu/ think of My Chemical Romance?
first few albums are classic emo/screamo whatever you wanna call it type shit. Black Parade was the beginning of the end but still really good. Anything after BP's not worth the time. Overrated to a certain extent, awful fanbase,
I loved them when I was in my "emo phase" I guess you can say. Now a days I'm into extreme metal, (bands like mayhem, suicide silence, behemoth, obituary, shit like that) ,but occasionally u enjoy mcr. I rate them 5.6/10

The pop punk of the 2000s was fucking terrible. They were literally boy bands with guitars.
The pizzacore scene may be mediocre, but bands like The Story So Far, Modern Baseball, Citizen, Title Fight, and Knuckle Punk are infinitely better than shit like Simple Plan, Paramore, and Good Charlotte.

I don't see how you can say that when the skramz scene peaked in the late 90s/early 00s, the powerviolence scene peaked in the 90s, street punk was huge in the late 90s, and hardcore was massive in the 00s.
