what happened to mgmt?
they released an underrated album in 2013 and recently reissued their Time To Pretend EP
they're probably on an hiatus
They're coming back. I'm pretty excited.
I've only listed to Oracular Spectacular. Pretty sure that's hard to beat.
Are their other - what? - two albums any good, though?
Real and honest thoughts on Piero Scaruffi.
He's kind of hot
He's an absolute pathological liar. He straight up writes reviews without listening to albums, his lists are all kinds of inconsistent, and he has no published papers in his supposed field of research: computer science.

Nice.
Which was better?
Music for the Jilted Generation

This
Experience.
Rave classic.
What is /mu/ opinion on the music produced by Yasutaka Nakata (Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Perfume, Capsule etc.)
Haven't heard her other work, but Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is way better than American pop.
And I don't even post on /a/.
>>61885115
Beautiful and electronic.
>>61885947
Nakata is the producer, baka
I'm brand new to shoegaze. I really enjoyed Loveless, Souvlaki, and Sea When Absent.
Don't give me that weak ass hazy shit though, I want something with some substance.
Any good recommendations?
>that weak ass hazy shit
honestly you just described the entire genre of shoegaze so i dunno what you're looking for

Check out Dreamend
You know the cliche that blindness increases the potency of the other four senses?
I wonder if people with nearsightedness and other eye problems like music more because at some point in their early development they became more sensitive to sound dynamics.
I made a poll here. Will compare to near/farsightedness statistics to see if glassesfolk are more likely to be on /mu/ than others.

Also post your current go-to album if you have fucked up eyes
maybe we all like sad music because no gf in high school

Listening to this a lot lately
I'll go one further to prove this. I have needed glasses since about sixth grade. Currently without glasses I can't see the E on the vision charts properly. I've also been playing music for about ten years. I picked up a second hobby, cooking, about two years ago. I currently work as a line cook. My sense of smell is really good, especially considering I have a deviated septum.
This is my go to album
>this one will suck too
hold me, bros.
>>61885028
All their stuff sucked get over yourself
>>61885028
They all will and have.
>>61885028
From what I've listened to, it will suck in terms of mixing (the fucking drums, man), but it will probably be good in every other aspect
Except for the lyrics
>dystopian cliche at its peak
So, it will kind of suck, yeah
Snowed where I am, school canceled. What's the best stuff to listen to for a snow day? Already have queued up Pinkerton.

This is my favourite snow album. Mostly for nostalgic reasons, but I think it evokes the feeling of a cold dark snow landscape pretty well.
Indian Summer's discography CD was my favorite thing to listen to when school got called off. I'd just lay in bed while the morning was still dark and listen to the whole thing.
quit reminding me of this shit, OP.
I'm I the only one who's sick to death of all these David bowie threads?
no because I'm not an autist who has the need to take notice of everything
>>61884596
>Sick to death
Too soon
>>61884604
That's not how it works.
Is it okay for white people to like and listen to rap/hip hop?
Pic unrelated.
>>61884448
Yes, as long as if you have white gilt
>>61884470
Lmao I love this spelling error.
>>61884448
Yeah.
No. Cultural appropriation is terrible. Everyone should just stick to what their own culture creates. Now get off my culture's technology you culturally appropriating non-Aryan.
Why do 9gaggers hate this man so much
>>61884388
Because they think that when Kanye West is acting like a dick he's actually taking himself seriously. Also wrong generation Queen fans who thought Freddie Mercury was actually any good
he was mean to tay tay :-( what an untalented hack :-(
>>61884404
Don't they hate her too for being a modern pop artist?
bieber but he's still an important artist
>>61884361
"no"
>>61884294
>implying that bieber isn't average
What does /mu/ think of Ladytron?
Haven't heard their newer stuff, but Velocifero is still an excellent album imo.
One of the best bands ever.

Good Morning, OP. Listened to Seventeen when you posted it the other day. It was nice :)
I DON'T SMOKE!
Posting a picture of an artist and quoting lyrics in all-caps doesn't constitute real discussion.
You are the cancer that's killing /mu/.
