I need help finding music that extensively uses a vocoder for a robotic voice effect.
I liked Daft Punk's use of the vocoder, but looking for more rock/electronic and less dance music

Very nice!
really like it so far, plus the whole concept of the band
What does /mu/'s thoughts about Arca?
i would fuck him
>>63571104
I don't like it very much but I find it interesting so I'll give it a few more listens.
I've listened to nearly everything he's put out. He's got an interesting sound but Mutants proved for me that he probably won't be able to take it into new territory anytime soon. I love him as a rap producer, though.
Hey everyone! OP from yesterday's thread here. I've decided that we're going to listen to it at 11:00pm GMT(London). That means 4-9 for Americans, 11-2 for most of Europe and 7-10 for the Australians. Check your timezone so you know what time it will be for you. It's gonna be hosted on watch2gether. I'll put a link up tomorrow a half and hour to and hour before it starts. Make sure your calendar is clear tomorrow to listen to an amazing album.

I watched Breadcrumb Trail the other day for the first time, and have a renewed love for this album.
>>63571081
great, I'll be there OP!
never done this before (/mu/ listenalong thing), but I'm eager to do it for one of my favourite albums.
>>63571152
I haven't seen it yet, but I've always wanted to. Maybe I'll watch it tonight in preparation for the anniversary.
What's the most pleb thing you've ever played to a group of friends and still had a negative reaction? I once played Tame Impala thinking it would sound accessible to them and some still hated it
>>63570998
Played yung lean and the fags hated it
Wtf. That was a year ago tho so i unironically enjoyed it too
>>63571028
I'd hate it too, yung lean fucking sucks.
>>63570998
For reference, what do your friends like?
Danny Brown, and for good reason. Made me realize how much he sucks and how XXX is just music to pop pills to.

Is Mr. Brightside the best pop rock single of the 2000s?
literally anything the strokes did is better
still a great song though
>>63570946
I quite liked One Armed Scissor, Float On and All My Friends. But Mr. Brightside is a good nostalgic song for me.
>>63570946
Why couldn't the Killers make anything good after this album?
This is so good and I can't find something similar. Tried pearls before swine but still not on pair. Recs?
>>63570938
I got a similar vibe from Person Pitch for some reason.
>>63570959
They are completely different in my opnion
>>63570938
There is their second full length LP Helplessness Blues
And their EP Sun Giant
Both are solid
As far as works similar:
Andrew Bird
Iron & Wine
Bon Iver
Father John Misty (He is from Fleetfoxes, has solo albums, they are good)
Grizzly Bear
Tallest Man On Earth
The Shins
Edward Sharpe
The Dodos
Sufjan Stevens
City and Colour (not a favorite of mine but people seem to like it)
The Decemberists
Joanna Newsom
Okkervil River
Israel Darling
hope this helps!
Rate, rec, etc. I know I need to fix my tags.
>>63570798
thanks for reminding me I need to get my tags sorted too; I kept putting it off until I forgot

this is great
this is one of the like 3 future funk albums i actually like
i like how he actually does something with the sample instead of slowing it down
>>63572225
yeah, I always get really disheartened when I listen to a future funk source and realize it's just barely altered jpop
We're making a mixtape under the name Flying Lotus which will be uploaded to what.cd. If you claim a song it should emulate or parody his style. You have longer than normal to make these so take your time. The intro should sound especially decent.

I think it's probably her most avant-garde stuff along with Medulla actually. Very beautiful, just finished now to listen to it; a dark, twisted and atmospheric journey.
Anyone else who have listened to it? I recommend it, especially to experimental addicted people and such.
why doesn't anyone talk about how amazing this album is?
literal 10/10

I have no clue. I just found this pic on Google and was wondering if there any similar pics for other artists.
This one is kinda shitty anyway.
