What's your opinion /mu/
I use both, so I don't really care.
>>63726472
Yeah, but why do you use both?
Vinyl: Nice physical copies, collectable.
Digital: Free, but no real attachment to them whatsoever.
They both are good for different reasons.
It's definitely fashionable to hate Nickelback just because these days. However, this album gives me a much better reason to dislike them - they suck. I'm not ashamed to admit I really liked a lot of their older stuff - even All The Right Reasons had some quality stuff on it. But here they really lost their way. For a start, I don't think there is a single lyric on this album that isn't cringeworthy or outragesously unimaginative. The band have lost all their genuine rawness and attack, as has Chad Kroeger's voice. "Something in Your Mouth",...

get off this board you filthy fucking pleb
its fashionable because they very clearly and obviously fucking blow. yes, its low hanging fruit. and you can tell when someone is just choosing them because they know you cant go wrong making fun of them. but they really do suck.

PRAISE THE GOOD LORD!
Can't wait to hear a guy droning on about how he's eating a lemon for 40 minute again.
>It doesn't stop there though: the album is comprised of just one track (also titled 'Negative Space'), which runs in at 62 minutes in length.

Your not a real music fan unless you owned one of these

Literally whom?
>>63725299
he's actually 59 :-)
Going to be seeing these guys about 20 days from now because it's their last tour and why the fuck not, but have only just started listening to them over the last few months. Mainly listened to Paranoid and their self-titled.
Someone give me a training montage, I think Paranoid is great, and need more to listen to so I can get the most out of the best songs they play at the show.
They literally only play their first 3 albums and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. *Maybe* something off of volume 4.
>>63725083
sweet. I'm seeing them in September
>>63725153
I wanted to go, but with Ozzy so incapable of singing in key any more I honestly didn't feel like shelving out the money. Got a mate to get me the tour exclusive EP though.

Well nickelback ARE gross
How can I get into classical music? I'm a complete pleb about it and want to take some first steps. Give me some advice, /mu/.
I see most people recommend Gustav Holst - The Planets.
More specifically the performance by Berliner Philharmoniker / Herbert von Karajan (on Spotify if you have it)
then maybe the more well known composers - Bach, Mozart, Beethoven. Just find the style you enjoy then visit /classical/ whenever it's up. (they know far more than me)
One of the only half decent generals still going on this board. Also there are a few good lists on Rate your Music for classical, especially getting into it.
Hope this helped.
I would not recommend looking for particular RECORDED music. Find your local philharmony and go there for some event. Classical music is much, much better live, in fact I cannot listen to recorded performances.
>easy way
Listen to youtube videos, live or recordings
Read about composers on wikipedia
Lurk /classical/ threads, or hell even start /classical/ threads if none are up
>Slightly more effort
Get some books on classical music, read them. Read biographies of famous composers, or composers you're interested in
>Go to performances in your area. Look out for posters, find local symphonies and string quartets, follow them on facebook to stay in the loop about performancesComment too long. Click here to view the full text.
