I've heard rumours that, every third Saturday of each month, Mr. Gira Esq. likes to pick up two homeless people in his windowless van, take them back to his dungeon basement and make them touch butts together.
ITT: AOTYSF
I haven't been paying attention to music because of school so post your favorite albums of the year so far that I should check out. Pic related and Life Of Pablo are the only two I've listened to honestly

rn my candidates for aoty are Blackstar and Sleep Cycle. I liked PW and TLOP but not enough.

Can we all agree Tame Impala is much better than Animal Collective, and is the superior psychedelic band of the 2010s?

This has been obvious to everyone since Innerspeaker.
Kevin Parker alone is just about as talented as Animal Collective
more like lame impala
animal collective is officially dead
they've shown again and again they have nothing more to offer the world musically
at this point they're just in it for the money

Dude I love the song Cup of Dreams off of that TFUL282 album
Why isn't more music released in surround sound?
cause people dont have four ears to listen surround as it would with four speakers like in your picture, it's just evolution man
I wish more artists would take advantage of the format. My 5.1 audio collection is only 2 strong: Bjork - Vespertine, Flaming Lips - Yoshimi at this point, but I like the format so far. Both artists creatively use the additional channels.
Why isn't more music released in Mono?
whats their best track /mu/
1969
Aquarius
Dawn Chorus obviously
Won't be much longer before one of them drops over dead in the middle of a set.

I feel Mick could definitely last into his 80s. The other guys...I'd be surprised if one of them doesn't go in the next 5 years.
>>63837815
>72 years olds
Hell be fine
That Glastonbury show was actually pretty good; they even dusted off 2000 Light Years From Home which hadn't been played live in years and years.

20 song setlist actually is pretty good for guys that old; many bands by their 60s can't manage a show that long anymore.
Thoughts on Foo Fighters?

fuck them and fuck Dave Grohl
Classical music is so evidently superior to all other kinds of music, yet we keep lowering the standards when we talk about other types of music, to avoid the uncomfortable situation where the butt rock dude or the druggy EDM boy gets anal pained when they are told the great masters are better than their shitty hedonistic hero.
Instead of white guilt, in the music world there is "classical" guilt. We keep lowering the standards for other kinds of music to compensate and preserve our dream of marxist culturalism. Of perfect musical relativism. Guess what? It isn't true and the compositional talent and imagination displayed, which is all that counts in the end when we have to say what is worth being saved and what not, is infinitely superior in classical music than in any other form of music.
If your shitty pop muzak is an 8 what the fuck are Beethoven's late string quartets? a 400? most music is barely a 1 to 3, the Beatles fall in here and so do most other popular music with very few exceptions that reach a 4, even a 5. Bartok string quartets would be a 6, 2 degrees of magnitude higher you have works by Brahms and other great masters. Then 9 and 10 are reserved for the highest achievements of human race like Beethoven's late string quartets or his Missa Solemnis or Mass in B minor by Bach or his Brandenburg Concertos.
I'm just waiting on Views From The 6, senpai

I bet Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven have wrote anything as good as Toto's Africa

Post original works and covers, vocals and instrumentals, heck, even memes and bodily noises.
If you do, from the third vocaroo on, please take some time to critique at least two contributions from others.
Might do a whistle later. Keep the thread bumped.
