So my mom wants to get into swans and I'm not sure what albums to recommend to her. Some of her favorites include the cure, pixies, the beatles, and jeff buckley. She also plays classical music. Help me bros
Public Castration Is A Good Idea
if she likes the cure she might like the great annihilator

Tell me about the big black bull
>>64169955
generic baroque pop akin to dirty projectors
>>64169955
+S&G, doors, zappa, sabbath
When will this be accepted as one of their masterpieces? It is seriously underrated.
it's their king of limbs
>fell for the anco meme
lying in the grass is their best song since brothersport
If you haven't heard all of these albums by now, what are you doing with your life?

What are some legitimately funny albums that don't rely on gimmicks? Just albums that will make you laugh from time to time.
Graceland, Pleasures of the Harbor, Midnite Vultures

>>64170023
No.
Why do the Arctic Monkeys get shit on so much? I think their first two albums were pretty good.
What're your thoughts?
Because its cool too. Same reason everyone here hates Mumford and sons because they are "generic" then in the same sentence say fleet foxes are original and good
>>64169936
I have never heard Fleet Foxes praised here. All these bands mentioned are generic as fuck. Fuck off with your normie shit
Their debut is actually one of my favourite albums of all time, Turner's got really clever lyrics and the band themselves have amazing energy. Second album though is just disappointing, which is a shame cos it's the last real example of the early Arctics sound. The albums afterwards, with the exception of Suck It And See are alright but none of them measure up to the EP.
Best song of theirs?
Any suggestions for other bands if I like these guys?

And You And I
Roundabout and Long Distance Runaround
Listen to Rush, Dream Theater and Tool
>>64169782
Wrap it up folks, we already got the correct answer.
>White Light White Heat contains Sister Ray, which probably remains the ultimate, definitive masterpiece of rock music, an epic piece that rivals Beethoven's symphonies and John Coltrane's metaphysical improvisations.
>>64169616
It's a jam on two chords.
goes from mixolydian to blues minor and also gets atonal when needed
Is this the greatest album ever?
I can't think of anything that even tops this
to pimp a butterfly
>>64169490
It's cliche to think so but it's really fucking good

7. Help
8. Let it Be
9. Beatles for Sale
You know it's right.
The rest of the albums are so-so.
I find Sgt. Pepper's to be vastly overrated, while MMT is overlooked, in comparison. McCartney ruined 'A Day in the Life'.'Being for the Benefit...' could've been better without the novelty circus conceit and arrangement.
I agree with McCartney that The White Album's strength is in its...

Beatles for Sale is definitely overlook but A Hard Days Night is easily the best of their pre rubber soul work
>>64169489
I must give it another spin -- haven't had listened to it in years.
I've been back on a Beatles buzz for around three weeks now. It happens every couple of years.
>>64169546
Its just great pop craftmenship all around. Some of their best melodies

Immune's album, Breathless, which Tiny Mix Tapes rated 4/5 stars, has been removed from online and streaming via the label it was released on, Dream Catalouge, because apparently the entire thing was stolen, plagiarized songs.
>This album was removed from the label because apparently the entire thing is just slowed down techno songs with few changes made to the original tracks. I could tell this was the case just from my first listen, but apparently it takes other people months to figure something like this out. Not even major review sites...
