Production-wise, Sleep Cycle is nothing new for Animal Collective-related projects. Everything else that I've listed was an original in the sense, and they all came up with something great in the process

For some reason I thought learning how to play violin at 22 years of age would be a good idea, but it wasn't. I can't stand the sound of hearing myself practice and even though they constantly humour me and support me, there's no way my family can bear it either.
How long did it take other players on /mu/ to stop being fucking awful and become bearably awful? At least when I was learning guitar and piano I could practice quietly while I was shite, but that isn't even an option on violin.
Is there a reason for me to continue or should I just give up and stick with what I'm good at?
