Am I the only one who finds every track on this album disturbing and ominous? Never have I felt such cosmic dread while listening to music.
A lot of tracks are pretty spooky but not all of them. Z-Twig and Stone in Focus for instance are positive.
I don't think it's scary but it's a very lonely and walking around at night sort of album.
you're listening to it wrong

DISREGARD WEABOOS
What are their best albums outside of the 4 or so everyone knows?
I assume you mean Propeller, B1000, Alien Lanes, and UTBUTS.
Probably:
>Vampire on Titus
>Isolation Drills
>Earthquake Glue
>Robert Pollard & Doug Gillard - Speak Kindly of Your Volunteer Fire Department
>Robert Pollard - Not in my Airforce
>Robert Pollard - From a Compound Eye
>Robert Pollard - Blazing Gentlemen
Those are among the most...

>Bee Thousand
>Alien Lanes
>Propeller
>Under the Bushes Under the Stars
Please tell me why people bother making 2+ hour long albums?
Because not everyone has ADHD
Why not?
>>64422424
Not everyone has unlimited time, either.
Without mentioning the message, tell me how this album is good at all. I don't give a fuck about the message if the music is garbage, and it's literal garbage.
>>64422301
Why do you care?
PROTIP: You DON'T have to listen to every album pitchfork mentions.
It isn't good
I didn't enjoy it. Not because of the "message" or anything. The music simply didn't appeal to me.
I'll never understand the whole Beyoncé craze.
>YAASS
>KWEEN
>SLAY
What does it even mean?

Hey /mu/!
I make my own music and I wanna add vocals, however I'm not a very good singer at all. I dont want someone else to do the vocals for me and I'd rather learn to sing, however I don't really need to be all that great, just acceptable. How can I acheive this?
its literally a totally subjective thing what sounds good and what doesnt
>>64422006
If you really care about making your voice sound good, play around with the audio in audacity, I have a friend that made his voice pretty much musical level quality through audacity alone.
>>64422050
Also, this.
I've heard plenty of singers that all sound different, some oddly high pitched males, yet, they still sound good.
But, if you really care about your voice, learn some simple techniques, also, playing around with the audio is a really good way...

Genre?
Musicians you have a man crush for
I got a question. If a straight guy has a mancrush on another man, does a gay guy have a mancrush on a woman? Or can gay guys just not get mancrushes?
Its 2016, electronic music made rock irrelevant 20 years ago, why is there nowhere like /mu/ dedicated to dance and electronic music other than WATMM who are stuck in the 90s still sucking Aphex cock?
>caring about relevance
>liking electronic music
pick one
if you pick the first, I heard the new beyonce album is pretty relevant right now
>>64421860
>living in the past
You're like those old grannies who wouldn't listen to rock music in the 60s and still only listened to big band and crooners
with social media being such a huge presence nowadays, music forums have become all but obsolete honestly. there's really no need for them.
