Lauren Bousfeld is a member of Nero's Day at Disneyland that created some similar (lesser) solo stuff after they broke up. I'd say it's more classical sounding than most of Nero's Day at Disneyland though, but also poppier, and also more eerie.

before his death it was some very good music, and Bowie's death added a lot of depth to the lyrics and atmosphere.
