YOU'RE LOOKING AT THESE DIGITS THE WORST DUBS ATTEMPT IN THIS THREAD
>>65038459
You mean these?
What genres do you consider overrated/underrated? (alternatively: which genres would you like to see receive more attention both here, and elsewhere?)
underrated: nu metal, madrigals, russian bard, meme rap, acoustic youtube punk covers, clarinet quartets
overrated: british 80s indie, sonatas, big band jazz, symphonies, proto punk, boogie-woogie, shoestring
>>65038278
Stoner rock doesn't seem very popular on /mu/, although it does seem to be growing in general, perhaps thanks to the increasing global amount of dudeweedlmao so I guess it is receiving more attention now.
Stuff like
>Earthless
>The Machine
>Samsara Blues Experiment
>Naxatras
Really been taking a liking to it the last year or so.
Overrated: indie. All of it
Underrated: Hair metal. Hard rock. Prog rock. Rock.

Why did everybody in the 60s try and make their own Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club?
>>65038083

Is there are more prolific releaser of EPs than Aphex Twin/RDJ? Some Difficulty Mode: Non-Meme replies wanted.
Bear in mind that Analord can be argued to be comprised of separate EPs.
Otherwise let's talk about short-form electronic releases in general.
that's not really a lot for a dance producer desu. legowelt is much more prolific.
>>65037882
Um..... Most dance music producers?
>>65037882

>Death Grips
Found a song caled "Inanimate sensation" on google. I think it sounds kind of retarded. When I was in high school me and my friends also listened to retarded shitty music like Arab on Radar or Lightning Bolt because we thought it was cool to like shitty music so I fully understand. But at least Lightning bolt had cool drums.
Even old people know the rest of your bans so I will refrain from comment on them
Death Grips is about to get an influx of followers.

Popular YouTube 'celebrity' posted a fallout 4 video where his characters name is literally.
Stefan Burnett.
he goes on to reference death grips being a 'crazy' band too.
influx of 12ie followers inbound.

>>65037661
>no musical relation between the two
The musical relation is that they're the exact opposite
>>65037595
Trash op, seriously just throw this shit away
Why does everyone on /mu/ typically enjoy the same artists (Animal Collective, Radiohead, American Football, Swans, etc.)?
I just figure that since so many people come here tastes would be more varied
>>65037546
I've always wondered this.
My theory is that people first come to /mu/ with such terrible taste that they are drawn to the popular /mu/ artists and the cycle just keeps repeating.
I don't think very many people come here initially with well-developed, unique taste unfortunately.
>>65037546
Because people of the same age and ethnicity who come from similar backgrounds tend to share sensibilities.
>>65037546
They are more varied, we just talk about things we all know mostly. Like real life conversations.
