Kaytranada 99.9
Almost good. How do you feel?

i thoroughly enjoyed the album. it was my first time listening to kaytranada and i didnt know what to expect and i have to say im pretty impressed.
the production is very well done, especially considering the various types of genres he flawlessly executes (hip hop, r&b, clubby shit, etc.)
shit rides
It's fire

His production was on point. Some grate vocals. But as a whole album the songs felt like singles thrown together. I hope his next album has more of a consistent feel.
I'll start with a few of my choice cuts

Drown yourself, thanks

He seems to have been active since the late '90s, possibly earlier though I've never heard any recordings.
He worked with Ariel Pink around the time of Loverboy, later was part of the first Haunted Graffiti band:

Don't know what he's been up to since 2011.
He is by far the most philosophical pop musician.
What's /mu/'s opinion on PNL?

Bait?
Stirring at water's edge
Cold froth on my twig
My mind in whirls
Wanders around desire
May I, can I, or have I too often craving miracles
May I, can I, or have I too often now craving miracles
Craving miracles
No one imagines
The light shock I need
And I'll never know
From whose hands deeply humbled
Dangerous gift
As such to mine come
May I, should I, or have I too often craving miracles
May I, can I, or have I too often craving miracles
Craving...

Is this true?
It's important to stick to vinyl though. I've discovered during the last two years, since I can take CD-Rs home from the mastering plant, that there's an astonishing variation in quality between different CD plants. If you think digital is perfect, I have news for you. Many of us have been fooled by this myth that it's just 0s and 1s and therefore copies perfectly. It doesn't. The variations in quality are pretty wild, and random. Just the way you hook up a cable can make a difference. And there's no quality control in these CD plants, other than...

I can't imagine what this comparison means.
Does it mean that vinyl is for people who are intolerant to more recently developed technology?

Aphex's SAW II
Even though I think it had too much dissonance for my liking, too unsettling to be an ambient album. I can dig it as a general """"electronic"""" album, but not as an ambient album
